Just started having problems with Gboard speech to text feature. Ideas?

When I try to dictate a text message (speech to text), Gboard races ahead and puts 4 or 5 duplicate words or phrases in. It completely messes up the composition of a text message.

Having the exact same issue. No solution yet. I tried uninstalling updates, but the problem persists. This is annoying as hell.
