Just used an HTC One

I got it yesterday and I agree with everything the OP said. The build quality is amazing, the screen, the speakers, and it is oh so smooth. I tried to use sense, but I ended up putting nova on it instead. So far I've only taken a few pictures with it, but the camera hasn't been an issue at all. I'm realistically not going to blow them up and print them anyway, the only thing I will do with them is post to Facebook or instagram. It has gotten a little warm a few times, but I think the metal back kind of accentuates it. Overall, this is my favorite phone so far.

This guy used an HTC One, he absolutely loves it

why I dislike my HTC One (NOT a review) - YouTube

I am starting to believe you are trolling this forum, all you keep posting is negative things you seem to find posted on the internet, but yet you claim you are interested in buying this phone, then when someone goes over to the S4 forums and does the same you defend the S4.. but you get all defensive when someone questions your posts.

I don't care what you're starting to believe, my 4 emails with HTC regarding the availability and purchase of the stealth black version of this phone and my waiting for it completely contradicts anything you could happen to conjure up. ;)

Another thing, I'm a big fan of removable storage. Even with an abundance of internal, transferring information between phones is way easier with an SD card, especially if you change phones often like me. There's years of information on my sd card. However, tonight I used the transfer tool that's built into the one to transfer my data from my S3, and I am very impressed. They couldn't have made it easier. And it worked flawlessly. Another thumbs up for this phone.

Whatever suites you!!!

The HTC One just blows Samsung S4 out of the water.
Hardware and software is definitely better. If I were to put money down, it would be on the HTC One to get the better phone for sure.

A tester on YouTube mentioned the S4 plastic cracking already! It is the S3 all over again that is why HTC hardware is triumphant.

Those pictures reiterate what most tech reviewers have said, the HTC One has the best camera. It boggles my mind how some believe the iPhone 5 has the better camera. Not to mention there are many youtube videos that compare the cameras on the HTC One and the iPhone 5.

I was sceptical of the camera at first. The low light performance is great but had doubts about performance in good light. I can now take pics like this ...

Not perfect but good enough for me :)

And you've reiterated. :D

Tried the HTC One in store and its a nice phone but not something that'd pull me away from my Nexus 4 or resign a two year contract. The screen is amazing and the build quality is very premium but I'm liking stock Android and direct Google OTA updates more then a bump in hardware specs. I also want to get Key Lime Pie and other new Google features that will be announced at Google I/O. Hope this makes others focus on that premium feel for high end Android phones and I hope HTC is very successful with this phone, they make great phones! I think I'm just a Nexus guy

EDIT: Was kinda disappointed with the plastic in the middle, back and front face plate are metal but the middle is plastic. Still very nice but I thought it was a solid piece of aluminium not half and half.

It is one piece of aluminum, but the sides are filled in with polymer for the antennas to work properly.

HTC One X

I hear its a great phone but do you think it could win phone of the year ? I hear that phone of the year was already given to the S4 by many.

Are you serious? I haven't seen anything that puts it above the iPhone 5 camera. Especially the video camera. Ever tried to use a phone video camera at a concert? Total distortion. Now use and iPhone 5 camera. I've tried all the top phone cameras from SG3 to HTC One X to Nokia 920 and the iPhone 5 has come out in top all the time. Go test it out for your self. Go to AT&T store and take a pic with both phone and email them to your phone.

For those wanting normal daytime shots ...

I cant comment on the iphone 5 comparison but I would expect the iphone to be better from what ive seen of other peoples iphone pics.

Your not going to zoom in and crop down too much with the One's pics due to the 4mp but for everyday pics I think most people will find it fine. I personally have never blown up a photo to A4 size from a phone and printed it off .. thats what real cameras are for ;)

Every serious comparison has the iPhone 5 camera at the top of the heap. While I'm really excited to dump my iPhone 4S for the One, the camera is one thing that will most definitely NOT be an upgrade.

Not an upgrade unless you want to take pics in average or low lighting..which is most people on their cells phones.

Low light maybe, but I'm mostly taking pics of my kids during the day, not my friends in bars. In average lighting the One camera is "meh" based on reviews.
