Just wanted to toss this out there while we're deciding what to do

LOL. BGR. I don't take them seriously.

But to be fair, they weren't the only ones who posted articles like that.

An article from a year ago, right after the Note 7 Battery issues and before Samsung clearly confirmed a Note line continuation? Mmmmhhmmmm....

But yeah, even AC posted an article questioning the Note's brand life and whether or not the battery was a deadly blow to it (but at least they were careful enough to word it as a 'what if' scenario and not as a de-facto thing.

I figured the Note was coming back.

Now if this years Note has a catastrophic issue again then I think the Note line is done and Samsung takes a big hit and will have to lower the S9 prices next year. It would be bad.

I remember there was a time where BGR was King of breaking tech stories. They've been a shell of their former selves ever since Geller publicly revealed himself as the leak.

It was a a total one off. The S series was never affected. Don't expect those prices to drop unless something happens with those. However, I think they are out of the woods.

BGR gives no quarter to anything Android. I'm sure plenty of Android sites had fun with the Apple maps debacle of iOS 6. All's fair in love and mobile :)

BGR is the most biased website towards anything but Apple and they dun even bother to hide that.

I got so sick and tired of all of those stories about how people predicted Samsung would kill off the Note line. The only reason Samsung lost so much money in this debacle is because of how popular the Note line is. It would be exceptionally foolish to just give up the whole line after one issue. If Apple had done that, they would have stopped after the iPhone 4

Agreed... Instead Apple just told people they were "Holding it wrong" while filling up their cups with Apple Juice, lol...

In all seriousness, I too used to run to BGR for breaking leaks and info, years before the iPhone dropped. Once he became blinded by the fact that Apple was releasing such a device, (or got paid for that blindness, whichever really happened) I just couldn't take his posts serious. I used to love when he would break cover on any device in the works. I would read about OG Windows Mobile devices, and BlackBerry devices. Hardware designs and specks. And he would occasionally do spots with Just Blaze and just talk tech with people. Now, its all negative if it's not an Apple device.
