Keep Ext. SD card unmounted

New Android user here - but diggin' the system! Still learning and I love learning.
I realize this is probably an unusual question but I would like for my 64gb Micro SD card to remain unmounted at startup and actually ALL the time unless I elect to mount it. Yes, I have data on the card that I don't wish for others to see.
I realize I could encrypt it but would rather not.

It'll remain unmounted until you restart your device... at which time the OS will mount it again.

Yes, that is correct as nahoku says. You will have to unmount it each time you start up. Maybe someone will create an app for that but most people don't care. Another option is to encrypt the SD card so your data is secure from others.
