Does anyone know how to keep the phone screen on during phone calls on the note? Was on an hour call today and had to constantly put myself on and off mute during the call and the screen kept going black.

If you put to your ear that's the proximity sensor turning the screen off for accidental touch , if you put speaker call then move screen time out up

If this is during speakerphone use I don't think this can be prevented. Ever since (at least) the Note 8, this has been a "feature". There have been multiple threads and multiple suggestions made but I have never seen anyone report success.

What about using one of those apps on the Play Store that keep the screen awake?

When this happens to me on my Pixel 3 XL, I just press the Power button to get the screen back on.

I downloaded an app called screen on. Then created a Tasker profile to launch the app when making an outgoing call. Just need to figure out how to toggle the screen on when the app launches

Does the screen on app work in Android 10?

Thats how it works...
I'm guessing the OP was on a conference call where you have to mute yourself when not speaking. So it's a bit of a pain to have to wake the ohine every to minutes to toggle the mute.

In general, the screen turning off during calls when you're not using another all makes sense, but I can empathize with the OP if it is the conference call scenario.

KinScreen is a good one. It allows you to toggle it on/off simply by pulling down the notification shade and tapping "manual toggle." Screen stays on until you hit power button to lock.

Exactly what I needed it for. I found that using the screen on app is useful for other things as well.

Screen on does this as well, but not the power button to turn off. I like that feature. May need to try it.

Is "Screen On" a different app than Kinscreen? There are many apps in the Playstore with the exact same names. Which company makes yours so I can find it?

Are you on Android 10? A developer told me it is impossible to make one that works without dimming on Android 10?
