Keep track of 3G data outages here for Virgin Mobile

Did as you said, the best they could do was open, what they called was an investigation, I explained that a few others in my neighborhood are without service as well, phone works fine full bars just no 3G. The best they said was someone would get back to me. Time will tell. :(

IF you get a call back I would ask the person if there is a way to get these issues escalated without having to wait on a callback. That is unacceptable.

In this regard I wish VM had actual techs and not have to forward everything to sprint first.
 
Mine is out now. Full bars no data. 1x came on for a minute and was gone again too. Off to bed maybe I'll be lucky when I wake up lol.

Same here no data as of yet in the Brooklyn/Lower Manhattan area.. My friend just got an Optimus today and is going to activate it tomorrow.. im going to see if he is going to have similar issues.. if he does then thats a bad way to start..lol
 
Did any of you change your plan online? I lost 3G all day, and finally called VM. Apparently my plan change failed, and screwed up something on their end. The rep corrected the issue, and all my services returned to normal. I was only on the phone for 5 min. Actually got great customer service. First time for me having to call, and I was quite impressed.
 
In downtown Philly when I first got the phone I was impressed the signal bars were always full. Better than Verizon even. Then I noticed data went was broken every day at least once. Especially at the end of march where it would be broken multiple times a day for long periods of time.

Now for the last week everything is fixed. Had to turn off/on data just once at five when I am guessing everyone else is using it. Finally seems to be working fine. But the system doesn't seem to reup my plan automatically even though that is what it is set to do. I have to manually restart "my month" every month since I got it in Feb.

I just recently started my service as of 2 weeks ago so i dont know whats going on.. im going to call VM tomorrow and see whats up..
 
I haven't had any issues for about a week now (crossing my fingers) Boston, Massachusetts.

Virgin Mobile Samsung Intercept now functioning-- 3G Raleigh Durham North Carolina

After two weeks of waiting, my 3G service now works well. Apparently, the software upgrade that they've been working on is complete, but I had to call Technical Support (877-600-8065) to have them reset my phone. They restarted my service so that I did not have to pay for the downtime, so I am less cranky. If VM would have been completely upfront with me when I got my phone (two weeks ago), I would have no complaint.
 
Haven't had 3G in Milwaukee, WI or Madison WI since March 23rd. Contacted Virgin Mobile a number of times. Virgin Mobile keeps telling me someone will call back, but no one does. Best Buy would not exchange the phone as they say it is an issue with Virgin Mobile. Before the outage 3G was working great. I'm at the point where I'm ready to cancel my account. My patience is wearing thin.

I was in Milwaukee yesterday from 2:30-8:30pm and had no problems. You need to call VM again and ask for escalation as it seems you may have an account activation issue.

I haven't had any problems with my service, and I live in Milwaukee.

About a week and a half ago all my 3G service problems ended. Prior to that I was getting outages, but now all is good.
 
back at work today, same old no 3G, in area that I always received strong signals with sprint. gonna try rooting and the PRL trick next before giving up on VM.
 
I'm back in business as of Friday once i made the call back to VM.. They had me re-activate the phone hitting a series of # and numbers.. 3g is as good as ever pulling 1MB/Sec and upload of 250KB/S in the Brooklyn Area. If you have issues just click on the activate button located in the app drawer and wait till it goes to 3 and you should be back in business.. Hope this helped..
 
IN the past several days I have tried what fastis said, went to applications and started the activate app. Hadn't worked in the past few days. Tried it today and sure enough 3G is working again. This morning VM told me there is an issue with the network. I'm wondering if they finally have the network issue resolved.
 
Nothing as of last tuesday 3G Wise, Was all over brooklyn and manhattan and nothing, gonna try activating again. Good to see someone got their 3g signal back.
