Keep your S9--don't envy the other side of the fence

Last year came the thread from S8 owners--should I upgrade to S9? The general consensus was, no.

Now we have S10. I got my S10+ yesterday, after 9 months with my S9+. My opinion: keep and love your S9. It's a beautiful piece, and the S10 family really has nothing of any significance to offer by comparison--certainly nothing worth the $450 plus tax the S10+ cost me.

And although it came with "free" Galaxy Buds, those things are worthless to me. I have the Jabra buds, and they are way better.

I'm trading my S9+ back in, although I will first look into whatever return policy Samsung has on this S10+. I will happily go back to my S9+.

Don't think the grass is greener on the other side of the street.

I feel similar. The s9 is better than the S10. The fingerprint reader in the s9 is a dream and the performance or camera isn't too different.

I'm still on the fence since I bought the s10

I agree. My S9+ is just fine. I'll take a good hard look at the Note 10 in August or just wait another year.

You guys are dreaming . I don't even have a s10 nor any Samsung but that s10 is the phone of the year easy.

I don't believe they are dreaming I went to trade in my S9 Plus for the S10 Plus and after a 1/2 hour of using the S10 Plus there really isn't much difference. I find the even black top of the S9 Plus more pleasing to look at especially when viewing a movie them the oval hole in the upper right corner. I tried opening identical apps side by side after clearing the memory and the difference is so minimal that I changed my mine and left with my S9 Plus. I agree wait and see what the Note 10 offers. Obviously if I didn't have a phone or something old I would select the S10 Plus.

I can believe this for sure. I got a S9 to trade for the S10e and I don't really know if it's worth it to do that after all from what I'm seeing with it.

The fingerprint scanner in the s10 is garbage. You'll feel that way coming from the s9

I have an S9 and I think the screen on that looks better than the one on the S10e.

I don't like that they removed the iris scanner and the pressure-sensitive home button. I also like being able to feel the location of the fingerprint reader. The S10 line is nice but there isn't much that needed improvement on the S9. Even the S9 selfie camera is on par if you use the Google cam.

What google cam?

Now that my S9 has OneUI at last, it is working even better than before. I got a really sweet deal on it from TMO on it's release day, and for what i want and need, it's a keeper.

I'm good with my s9+. They are getting to a point that the phones are so good, there is really no reason to upgrade every year.

Thanks I have tried this but it doesn't work properly. Even after changing all those settings it still doesn't produce good pics.
Sticking with the stock camera.

In my experience, there's only more of a difference when it comes to the front camera pictures at most.
