Keeping or Returning?

I'm at a loss. I still have mine in the fedex box at home... im almost in denial.
I've played with the phone for probably 2hr+ altogether at various verizon stores.

The screen is disgusting, borderline defective in my opinion.

There is one simple truth, the bionic has clearly the worst screen out of all the current smartphones offered by verizon, possibly by any carrier.

I am so tired of waiting... my og droid has a bad usb/carge port and the headphone jack is messed up.
Ironic since i was looking forward to listening to some music in my commute in the mornings.

Well, now I'm not so sure I'll be keeping it. Its a good phone, but I'm not convinced yet. I've got an ebay Dinc2 on the way, so I may revert to that until the Vigor comes out and decide then. (The prime is a no go because I can't stand sanding)

i returned mine. Like most people i think it is too late for this phone to have come to the market, it should've been out at the same time the atrix came out.

If theres one thing that I regret buying in my life is this frigging Samsung Infuse. The phone freezes, don't charge and it goes crazy without touching the screen. i am so tired of calling AT&T. I bought the phone about 7 weeks ago and can't return it because my the 30 days reurn policy has elapsed. i am sssoooooooooooooooooo frustrated. Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This may help you: Post this in the Samsung Infuse forum, and not the Motorola Droid Bionic forum. Sorry you are having problems.

The Bionic is very fast, very handsome, and I haven't experienced any bugs apart from the earphone thing.

Okay, scratch that. I have a bug, and it's a REALLY irritating one. Apps disappearing after a reboot. SOO ANNOYING! !!!!

I reconsidered sending it back until this. How many times to I have to install something before it's still there after a reboot!!??

Going back asap. It's a shame, this phone is super fast. I'm going to miss that :-(

Are transferring them to sd card?

Returned. Random shutdowns that require a battery pull to restart and the constant dropping of the 3g are just to much when paying this much for a phone. Back to my X until the next best thing come out.

I was a bit unsure at first about the screen, but its not that bad really. Obviously not the best image quality wise, but I think the trade off for power savings is fair. Anyways I really like its responsiveness both in processing inputs and the general touchscreen responsiveness. I upgraded from the OG Droid. Keeping, but may consider an early upgrade when newer phones come out soon.

Keeping the phone but not 100% satisfied.

The only issue I have is the screen, but decreasing everyday. I have gotten used to it and know it is helping my battery life. I've been pleasantly surprised about the battery life, about 12-15 hours with moderate use. I don't think that a LTE iPhone on Verizon will get that kind of battery life.

It depresses the hell out of me, but I think I'll be returning mine tomorrow or the next day. I wanted to love this phone, and I think it's a good piece of hardware, but I shouldn't have to convince myself to keep it. The screen honestly isn't that much of a problem for me, but the battery life definitely is. The bigger issue is that I know the Nexus is coming and if its already hanging over my head now, it's only going to be worse after it releases.

If I can figure out a way to go a full day on 1 charge with the battery WITHOUT disabling syncing and crippling the functionality of the phone, I'll keep it. So far I can't even get a half day even if I'm not using it. I love almost everything about it otherwise. It's everything I could have asked for.

Nah, I keep them all on the phone. That's one of the things I really about this phone. Ample storage on the device. I will miss that going back to my D1 also :-/

Definitely returning it. After speaking with Motorola and Verizon they do not have a fix for the distortion caused by anything plugged into the headphone jack. I exchanged the phone and tried out two more demo phones and they all have the problem. Verizon tech support even suggested returning it until they have a fix. VERY disappointing because I liked the phone otherwise

Keeping it without hesitation. I love the phone so far and just haven't been having the issues I see people are having. My headphones sound fine, the screen isn't that bad (noticeably better than my wife's X2). I'm getting around 12 hours constantly in an LTE area which is fine since I'm almost always near a charger anyway. As for the camera, that's never really been a concern of my with my phones so I don't really care if its good or not, I have a real camera for that. ;)

Overall I am extremely happy with the phone and its been a worthy upgrade to my OG Droid.

Ok I've read about 7 pages worth, and had the phone for ...since Friday. Tested it in every way I'll possibly use it so here's my official review, hope it helps someone...take it with a grain of salt I'm f'd up O:-)
I love it. The complaints:

battery life. Guess what? My dinc battery life sucked too. I bought a dock with 2 spares for under $20 on eBay. Run it till it dies, quick switch = 100% again. Throw one in the car if im gonna be out all day. Battery life NOT an issue. (There aren't any Asian market ones out yet...will be)

REALLY MISSING THE OPTICAL PAD!!! As I type this I'm listening to Cinderella "don't know what you got"...true! Brings me to

Audio hiss on the headphones. IF you are annoyed by the "high pitched hiss" (overly treble really is all), but if it bugs you THAT much you'd return this, you:
A. Paid waay too much for your headphones, got mine at Walmart with a Lincoln ;) grow up in the 80's with a Panasonic Walkman that covered you whole ear. This $hlt sounds good! Plus you can change the audio settings in the sound options. Mines set to home theater cause that's how I roll.
B. Are listening to the wrong kind of music? Or ..just not loud enough! Told you already.. Cinderella to john Coltrane to Michael Buble to Rob Bass I rock it all. Jogging, gym, I use headphones alot and I can live with it complaint free
C. PENTILE DISPLAY. I use the web alot, pics/text is blurry when moving the screen, but very sharp immediately when it stops, text especially. Small pics on web pages were better on the incredible, but full size pics as just as good. Zoom in too far and yeah it will get blurry pixelated...any phone will. Went to 1 hr wait at the barber tonight, vzw next door...I pulled up the same pic 1900x1200 on 4 phones plus mine. Don't know what all they were a TB, x2, and inc2 I think. And no clue what the other was but they were pretty close. 6 in one half a dozen... But, I can see in the sun! No more twisting to get my shadow over the phone, woohoo! See it at angles too. Pentile vs samoled = users choice (just like the 100s of reviews I read) some things you gotta find out yourself? Unfortunately my old porn apps look like an al qaeda video on this phone, very pixelated. But the HQ sites aren't bad, and YouTube looks pretty damn good for the most part.

Those are the biggest beefs with this thing. I'm pretty neurotic about things and the thought of having this for 20 months drive me nuts...why I'm here. Overall its a damn good phone. 4g for when we get it, dual core for when they make apps that utilize them, big screen (but I STILL hit the "b" when I mean to hit the spacebar...damnit!) All in all benefits outweigh the negatives...because I don't find them all that negative.

I got it all setup, its rooted ready to go and through out all this I've become 100% sure, I'm keeping this bad boy! Thx for listening :)

This is exactly where I stand. Today I couldn't even make it 10 hours, and that was WITH babying the phone (screen on minimum, 3G unless I went out, etc. etc.). If I could make it from sunrise to sundown without the phone dying on me, I'd be great.

It depresses the hell out of me, but I think I'll be returning mine tomorrow or the next day. This. Seriously, the more I think about it, if I knew that this Bionic was "the best" phone out there...even if the Prime were rumored to come out in early spring of next year, I would just suck it up and keep the Bionic. However, since it's been widely reported that the Prime is just a month or so away, I may suck up - yet another - restocking fee (also paid one for the damned X2 a month ago) and just wait for the prime.
