[Kernel] Genocide 1.2GHz Froyo DK28/EB13 RFS/EXT4

Running EB13 EXT4 with TER 1.5 and Genocide .03a kernel. Getting Quadrant scores well over 1800. Still testing battery, but so far so good.

I would love to do this as well but i thought TER was a DK28 based ROM. How did you make it work?

Create a back up in CWM(Just in case) then just flash the kernel in CWM, no wipes necessary. The kernel is DK28(which is what TER is on) compatible. Just make sure you download setCpu or something similar to control it.

Yes it seems this is possible using the compatible kernel. I would really only recommend it as a "test drive" of a ROM, if your that interested in a certain ROM and want to make it a daily driver for an extended period of time I would consider changing your OS (Froyo DK28 or EB13) to match the required ROM.

"Setting speed to 1.2 GHz = overclock, but no undervolt (more speed)"

does this use more juice or not because it is not undervolting?

Yes it would be using more power. Pick your poison, undervolt=same as stock perfomance but better battery. Overclock=better performance but uses more battery.

I flashed back to stock kernel. I still have that android boot over the sprint boot. What's up with that?

Where does that come from?

Will you ever or is it in the works add a fix for the froyo call log problem where it records everything - it does give nice options in the menu if they would stick.

Thanks - soon I will be brave enough to flash your kernel. :)

I personally have mine overclocked at 1.2 and my battery really hasnt suffered much. I was expecting a substantial decline and I havent experienced that in the least. I'm pleasantly suprised.

Is the speed increase very noticible or very slight and only in certain areas? I used to oveclock my PalmOS, and although overclocking helped, sometimes it would be slow to wake up from the sleep mode.
