[KERNEL][Gingerbread] CM 2.6.35 kernel for Thrive and Phoenix

Arjen, could you please fix this gingerbread kernel to be on par with the ICS kernel.(ie blackscreen bug fixed, etc.) It would be really appreciated. Cyanogenmod 7 is far more stable than ICS or JB. Thank you.

you can use his ics kernal on any gingerbread rom, and it eliminates the blackscreen. the only thing is you wont have wifi. but you wont have the blackscreen issues anymore. i use the 06142012 kernal for any rom. unless its one built specifically for the 505 (since thats what i have)

Arjen PLEASE!!! wont you fix the wifi on this kernel. I know everyone is going to ICS and JB but they have a major flaw in that video and such dont work correctly. CM7 ROMs are the only 100% working ROMs we have but we have no wifi. Please help us again.

Go read one of his last post he says he is going to work on a promise he made long ago and fix this kernel.

[Stock][Smooth][Battery] ★★★ -=RESURRECTION=-2.0 ★★★ [A ROM you will love to use] - xda-developers It Originates from this rom. I have modified it a bit to work with our device. No blackscreen. Wifi works, no major errors as I see it. :p one error: when you turn the screen on (go to the lockscreen) the screen you were at when you locked it sometime flashes for maybe a mSec. :p

If I recall that was a bug with the stock ROM, So I wouldnt worry too much on that one. What is the foot print like on the ROM how much free memory is left over? I read through the thread (for the most part). I wondered if you would be willing to do a completely stripped down version on the ROM with only the bare essentials. No GAPPS (aside from Play) or widgets or anything that would be considered and extra. One of the main reasons I went away from stock was I kept running out of space with only a few programs installed.

63MB Used, 137MB free. I consider it a good rom without too much extras. I can look into stripping it a little. Consider testing it :p as I'm on a thrive, I can't run gingerbread without black screen bug , besides for with this rom :)

Yeah I think that would be a good idea. But I have an issue with the ROM im getting the color banding screw up that is present with the CM7 ROMs and I am also getting the black screen bug. Any suggestions? I am downgrading from ICS on a P505 with the NBB.

Did you wipe data/cache? Flash the NewBB i provided? All should work... I only tested on my LG Thrive though. BTW, The one I'm making I think will have the default gingerbread launcher, if that's smaller than this launcher

I will try clearing and flashing again...Which Launchers are you thinking of using.

no I got the one from the XDA thread... I will try the one you linked to but you have it as 2.3.3 the offical GB was 2.3.4 and for the P505 do I need to use the baseband fix?
