KingxKlick Kernel OC/UV

Lovin' this. I can't comment on actual numbers for the battery, but I have seen in improvement in the last 5 or 6 hours since I've had this.

I haven't messed with the clock speed (someone want to clue me in there? :)), but I like this enough to jump to skyraider instead of CM6RC3.

Yeah I would like to know also. I saw on XDA that people were getting close to 1500 quadrant and after flashing the kernel I still get just over 1200.

My guess is that if you're getting those numbers, you probably have nothing running at startup and you're over-clocked to the max. I'm also in the 1200 range, but battery life is more important to me than pure benchmark speed.

Ok. I got 1440 now I'm satisfied. I will most likely not keep it that way I just wanted to see that number. Now its time to find a good balance. It sure is fast now, I mean uh faster than the fast it was earlier.

No go on this kernal for me. Tried two different ROMs and it still ate my battery life significant faster. Moving on....

A full 12 hours off the charger, and I am only down to 45% battery. No reboots, no freezing. Considerably better then the stock kernel, regarding battery life, but not as good at 1.15 for a day.

I left it at 1.19, using the on-demand profile. Full brightness for the whole day. I browsed xda for about 15 minutes on 3g at work, sent quite a few texts. Made a few short phone calls, and one 40+ minute call. Played a couple matches of Homerun Battle 3D on 3g as well. Very impressed with this. It's a shame not everyone is having the luck I am :(

I am going to scale back to 1.15 for the time being, mostly for the slight increase in battery life.

Ok so all 4 hydras gave me bootloop so I figured to leave the kernels alone...but just like everyone else who has rooted, leaving the phone alone is not why we rooted so I tried the Kingxklick #2...Right now it seems stable (I just loaded it) I downloaded overclock widget (the free cpu tweaker..I kno I am a cheap a$$) and I have it set at 1.113. My quadrant scores went from around 1180 to 1300...I will check back on battery life later and I am sure I will try out the 1.19

Any way on a side note is overclock widget just as good as the paid set cpu app?

I have been using this kernel for the past 2 days and I'm really liking it. The only issue is when I overclock it to 1.13 and actually use the phone the battery dies pretty quickly, I used it to browse some websites and it dropped 3% in battery life and sometimes even more. I was using the program "set cpu" with auto-detect and conservative settings. I have just stopped running the overclock and have started to see some battery improvement. Is anyone else running into this? By the way, when it is overclocked and not being used the battery life seems better than stock.

Ok, so I took my phone off the charger today at 7:45 am with bump charging and have browsed some websites and using google talk here and there. It is now almost 12:30 pm where I'm located and sitting at 56% battery life remaining with the setting at 1.13 overclock at conservative with "set cpu". I'm also using the seidio 1750 mah battery.

I'm just checking to see if this is normal...?

Eh yeah, depends on how heavy you use your phone. Have you tried settings you "conservative" setting to onDemand? That way you phone goes back down to 245MHz instead of staying at a higher speed and the speed varies depending on the need of the phone. With that setting I've had no issues making my 1750 go to 20 hours and still have a bit of a charge.

Mine has been off the charger for 14hrs and I have 45%. I'm still using the stock battery. This thing is great!

I will give that a try and see how it goes for a while. At about 3:30 today my battery was down to 17%. I do use the phone, but nothing crazy. I will update later to see how the on-demand is working. Thanks.

Ok, got some more numbers. However, this kernel is amazing. Extrememly impressed. I would say this is easily the best kernel for the Incredible at this point.

  • Stock Battery
  • SkyRaider 2.5.2
  • Screen Brightness on Medium
  • 3G + WiFi throughout the day.
  • Starting at 6:00 a.m. (taken off the charger at 100% full)
  • Ending at 8:48 p.m.

Up time: 14:44:46

Awake time: 2:39:36

The largest user of battery has been 'Phone idle (28%),' 'Cell standby (26%),' and 'Android System (23%).'

And I still have 38% of the battery left. Very impressed here :D
