KitKat 4.4: This package is for m7. This is a m7u1 device

G'day,

I received the KitKat update this morning but it failed to install.

I tried manually installing the update using adb sideload but this also failed.

I believe this was because I had an old version of CWM. After upgrading this to the latest version of CWM 6.0.4.3 I get a different error:

This package is for m7. This is a m7u1 device

I am using this ROM: Android 4.4 KitKat OTA for HTC One Google Play edition

It would seem I need a different ROM for my HTC One (Unlocked Australian GSM/LTE)

Which KitKat ROM should I install?

did it work for you? got the exact same problem (and tried the same solution by updating cwrm )

Just install a custom ROM based on 4.4.
