I have a rooted SGH-I337 running on Android 4.2.2 MF3. I want to update to the latest 4.4.2 while maintaining my root. I saw directions for doing that on Verizon but not AT&T any ideas? I wanted to stay with touchwiz so that IR blasting with watchon still works.

The best way to do this is by installing a custom ROM based off 4.4.2. This way you keep root and don't have to worry about loosing it. If you decide to manually update using stock firmeware, then you will loose root and it may be hard to get it back depending on the method to root your model S4 with 4.4.2.

Most stock based ROMs have all the stock features working or intent to have working soon.

Kewl. Thanks for the help! I assume that since my phone OS predates KNOX I don't have to worry about KNOX counters. I like the idea of keeping as close to stock android as possible - I see that Google Play edition GPE supports WatchOn and IR blasting. [ROM]KOT49H【4.4.2】 Google Play Edition - 04-08-2014 - xda-developers Is there any reason I shouldn't install GPE? Is another ROM much more popular? Any good install references?
