KKM2 no notifications when apps are closed

Hi,

I bought the Cubot King Kong mini 2 and the phone keeps killing apps on the background even if they are set to "not optimize". I don't get any notifications from outlook, WhatsApp and Messenger when apps are closed for a while .

Is this a built-in 'optimize' app, or are you using the phone's Settings app?

Welcome to Android Central! This is pretty common among Chinese manufacturers, who are obsessed with killing apps in the background in a misguided attempt to extend battery life. See this: https://dontkillmyapp.com/

Unfortunately, there isn't much you can do about that if you've already tried turning off every battery optimization and "smart manager" feature. I experienced that recently with the TCL Tab 8, which doesn't let me listen to Spotify in the background.:-\

See if you can lock certain apps to your recent apps to prevent them from refreshing
