Knox error

I didnt do enough research when i got my S4 and rooted then tried to do a custom rom. I now have the knox1 error code. Any fix to this? Anything i can do for a custom rom yet?

Hi Happy2472. My phone is rooted but I neither use Knox nor have it installed on my device. My main question is...do you actually use Knox or has it crippled your device in some way?

It is a known error that prevenrs me from using any custom roms. I am unable to boot to install custom roms.

Unfortunately, this is outside the scope of which I can help you. Hopefully a more seasoned forum member can assist you further.

It's not an error. Samsung security systems guarding against users rooting and causing problems for themselves. I generally root after warranty expired. There are apps available in the play store the can reset the counter(pre 4.4.2) BUT it will only fool OTA and not an examination of the device by a knowledgeable service agent

No reason why you cannot flash a custom rom. You will just not be able to receive Samsung updates and have to depend on developers for updates.
