Kool-Aid--2.1--new leak!!!

Beezy, I am new to this stuff but with your tutorial I was able to load root to my hero. Some of the terms as far as "flash" etc, kinda gets me. I have downloaded sugarfree and now I stuck as to where or what is the next step to putting 2.1 on the phone. Any help is appreiciated, I have read these threads many times and I think my brain is now mush.... haha Thanks in advance.

Put the zip file you downloaded in the root of your SD card (not in any folder). Boot your phone in recovery mode, wipe it (via the wipe option). Reboot into recovery mode again, choose flash from .zip. select the zip file and voila!

try again, this time wipe, then flash again. maybe it was a bad flash?

It mustve been. But I wiped then flashed it again then left it on all night. When I woke up, the same thIng was happening.

Which items did you wipe? i think theres 5 choices there. I do them ALL. you dont have to wipe battery stats of or cycle but i do anyway. if thats not it then im not sure.

Do you really have to reboot into recovery again after wiping? I usually just wipe then flash.

I havn't been rebooting after wiping. So far, the only ROM I've had trouble getting to boot has been Darch's Darchroid on XDA. I'm a flashing addict too!

I just downloaded LaucherPro Beta, it works great with Kool-Aid 2.1 Sugar free.
Much faster and less lagier then sence home.

Have you tried to reboot,see if that fixs it.

Yes i have tried a couple of times im thinking its an app or something it just started yesterday so i wiped and am doing a restore i did the other day hope this will fix it



I was using setcpu causing my phone to run slow and alot of issues in case anyone is interested

Ive had apps do that,but forgot which ones did it.

Yeah setcpu wont work on this rom only roms that hac a oc kernel.

Its a test app from htc.Not sure really what it does besides make problems.
