Ok, so I just now realized I lost my drooooid sound on start up...is there a semi simple way to get it back?

I don't think so because its a nexus 1 rom that was ported over. I mean maybe you can edit the file or search Google and see if sombody has done it before

they already updated it to 5.0.4.2. At this point im going to wait for when there is a steady release. if they keep updating it there has to be bugs that need to be worked out.

most people there have been saying that the standby is killing their battery usage. i think i saw that it was like 60% of the battery usage. right now it is killing me to wait for a solid release because i want to try out that new dock and be able to have a steady speed rate but the bugs will prob annoy me and make me go back to the version im at now.

one question though. has anybody who has used 5.0.2 noticed that when the rom was originally installed the phone was extremely fast but after a while it became laggy at time. it seems like my droid is not as fast and smooth as when i orignally flashed the rom. Any ideas why?

I went from DroidMod to Koush, and it kept rebooting on me. I'm not really sure why.
Either way I just went back to stock 2.0.1. I had to go back to stock to get Koush's ROM, and 2.1 will come fairly soon. I'll just wait it out for now.

did you use Koush's clock-work recovery and also did you wipe the data and the cache before installing?

Change the ringtone for notifications to the Droid sound, the start up sound is whatever ringtone you have set for your notifications. I don't know if there is any way to change that or not. So if you want your phone to keep the Droid sound, you have to keep you notification ringtone set to Droid.

the standby numbers are just as bad right now cell standby are 48 percent. its cool though had nothing against 5.0.4.2 but went back to .1 it has jit enabled and seemed stable and quick

The reason people had battery issues, temp problems and rebooted was because JIT was enabled. He updated because he simply forgot to disable it on that build. My wife and I are both running 5.0.4.2 right now with zero problems.

I just have 2 more questions before I install this. 1- has anybody noticed any differences by not wiping before upgrading (good or bad)? 2- how's the battery life? Is it the Same as 5.0.2 or better/worse? The only reason I'm asking is because I'm going to the city tomorrow and if the battery life is worse then ill probably wait till after I get back from the city to install it. I just don't want my battery to die when I'm in the city and not have access to my phone in case I need it. Thanks guys

battery life seems somewhat better dont know if your running .1 or.2 you already have the fixes for battery im just running with .1 for jit

What am i doing wrong?

Im fallowing every step but when i get to the install screen it says "error dumping image files." or something along those lines.

Currently, i have DM 1.0. Do i need to delete that before installing?!

What are you trying to do flash the rom and if so just use rom manager will do all you need
