Koush's 2.1 Rom

on the 5.0.5.3 there is listed on the bottom of Koush's post the
Google Addon: EPE54B

From what i can find this is a radio update, right? Anyone try it, any luck or improvements?

Regardless of the radio update, I hear that 5.0.5.3 solves a little bit of the standby problem. Installing it now.





....but still waiting for stable Sense UI.

so i loaded koushs new rom from rom manager and i know i installed google apps but once the phone booted there were none to be found. what gives.

You need to download the google addon file from gapps-passion-EPE54B-signed.zip. Rename it update.zip and place it at the root of your sd card. Reboot into recovery and choose apply update.zip.

Made the switch from BB 2.1 v0.7 to CM 5.0.5.3 this afternoon and have to say that I'm impressed. Super speedy, adjustable # of home screens and auto-rotate for full 360 rotation, and the 3D launcher allows 4 static icons available on all screens.

Hey guys, just rooted tonight. I followed the instructions via the videos at the top of this forum, and I am running into a problem when I go to actually load up Koush's rom. I keep getting "error 25" when I try to restore to the rom. Anyone have any clue as to what I may be doing wrong?

I think I was going about it all wrong, I was dragging/dropping the rom(as per the video) vs using Rom Manager. Flashed ClockworkMod, downloading the latest rom via Rom Manager. Thanks for the speedy reply!

Hey all, just a slight problem. I had SPrecovery, downloaded Rom Manager, flashed it, got all that working, and then got my phone to finally take the Koush rom by going to install from sdcard. It didn't take when i told it to download and install. problem now is, with this rom, i have no market, no rom manager, only have 17 icons. So, just wondering, what now? with the Rom manager flashed, can i still just go in and run UltimateDroid's update.zip to get back to where i was? and any ideas on what step i may have missed? thanks.

okay, went back and redid the UD8.1 update method, and got everything back. still not sure what i'm doing wrong with rom manager though.

A way to customize his Rom add what you want and take some things out that you don't use its available to premium members and its done online and you just download the Rom how you set it up. Check it out

Guess for this Rom its more about sling things out. But I don't remember the HTC keyboard being am option in the stock Rom. I would guess more would come on future versions

Are there known issues with the mail app? It wont let me sign into my yahoo account. I had the same problem with 4.2 and i'm currently using 5.3. Sorry if this has been asked already.

i didn't see this issue mentioned before, so here i go: i downloaded ROM manager and put on the ultimate droid rom - no problem. now i'm trying to change over to the CyanogenMod, download it and install it without a problem, but when it goes to restart the phone it continues to cycle between droid and the red eye on the start up. any ideas what i'm doing wrong?

You need to clear cache and data and you will boot up fine.
