has anybody here tried using the new htc keyboard that works in landscape. i wish he would have included it in here like the blackdroid rom. im just curious to see where people are downloading it from and how it has been working for you guys

thanks again biz. through this whole process of changing roms and themes the past week i think i have actually learned a bunch of stuff haha. the best way to learn is when you have to fix somthing that you messed up. thanks all for getting me through some of this stuff

Is the wifi issues fixed? Ugh I may go and reinstall this again haha. Also wondering if wifi tether can be used on this one? And I noticed it had amazon mp3 and all that crap on there, how do you unistall that?

I use root explore and delete what I don't want but I have so much room left on my system I'm not worried about it. And yes WiFi has worked perfectly for me

I thank DA6 for recommending this to me. I love this ROM.

It's so smooth, and with the fixed launcher2 its perfect. Even at 550Mhz the launcher2+live wallpaper= Smooth. And the 7 screens.

Best ROM out there atm.

there are 2 issues i am noticing with this rom.
1)the battery tends to raise the temperature a little faster then the previous roms i have used. i have seen it get to 38 degrees without me using my phone alot.

2) the browser speed seems to still be slower then even the droidrom. idk if this the rom's fault or maybe just somthing to do with my data coverage but i never noticed it being this slow before. im going to try and update my roaming and see what that does but im hoping it gets better.

aside from that the phone's speed is really fast.

edit: nevermind i cant update roaming because this rom has the same issue as the previous build where it makes you activate your phone before you can even use the keypad but then it never activates.

the browser speed is the deal breaker for me. im hoping it gets fixed or their is a workaround for it because i would rather not go back to 2.01 but i need it to be faster because the slowness is somewhat of an annoyance.

Thats funny I updated my roaming capabilities without an issue just use the physical keyboard to press 2 and the browser speed isn't any slower than blackdroid's rom I switched too make sure

stuck on this rom for a while it seems like the one thats the most stable and quickest has its little bugs but not many and its great

Very little bugs. VERY VERY.

And yea, I liked DM because it was stable enough for me, and until they add a GREAT update, I'm gonna stick with this ROM.

And my temperatures seem to be lower on this rom for me.

out of curiosity what is a good general range for the battery and cpu temp. I downloaded temp monitor yesterday because i have been noticing my batteries temp has been going up quicker than usual so i wanted to make sure my CPU was not overheating. it seems like for every full minute i used my phone, the battery and and cpu go up a degree. i have never really paid attention to the cpu temp before yesterday so i dont know if that is normal or not but my battery temp has been going up alot faster than usual. i was overclocked at 1000 MHz but a little earlier i dropped it down to 800 and seeing how that is. but ya i know it has been stated that temp ranges depending on where you are located (weather, climate etc) but what would you say is a safe range and a range to start being concerned at for both the cpu and battery

oh and came across this now too, apparently Koush has a new app in the marketplace call 'Rom Manager'. it seems like droid root pro but im not sure. it seems like it more specified towards his roms but i would think you could use any rom for it. here is the link to check it out on alldroid:

I installed this and gave it a try today. Is this not a rooted ROM? I don't seem to have root access in here. Other than that, its great and seems pretty cool. I did not wipe my data partition (Well I did, and then I restored and flashed the ROM again without that because I didn't want to lose all my stuff). Is that related to the lack of root?
If so is there any way to not blow away data/apps but still be root?

what are you coming from? stock 2.0.1? rom 2.0.1 or 2.1?

if your coming from a 2.0.1 rom or even stock you have to clear cache as well as data. to be honest im not sure why but i have read that if you dont do that and you're coming from 2.0.1 it can cause you to lost root access. probably since it is a whole new firmware that is not being installed by an official OTA it has to have your system start from scratch. i don't think you can do it any other way

Coming from stock 2.0.1 (well, rooted stock 2.0.1)
I'll admit I don't fully understand how all the pieces work together so that's possible, I just don't want to lose all my SMS messages and various settings if I don't have to

i can completely understand. im still new to this whole hacking and modding process myself. this forum is a great place to find help. i think they have apps on the market where you can back that stuff up like text msgs. the apps you can just back up with the app Astro. My recomendation for the apps are to just write down or take a screen capture of the list you have downloaded in the market (only need to write down the free apps because the paid come up automatically) and then after you wiped everything and re-installed the rom, just re-download the apps. If you just back them up in Astro you they wont show up in the market when updates roll out.
