Ladies, how are you going to carry your Nexus?

Did you notice that it is missing a hole for the mic on the back? See the comment below the video.

I noticed that comment too, but I'd ordered already. I guess I will see how it effects things when I get it. Crossing my fingers that it should not be a problem..

I hadn't noticed it until I watched it again. I've already ordered it also. Having that extra noise cancelation mic is nice. Maybe after a few people get them it can be brought to their attention and, they would exchange it for a modified version. I could also modify it myself but, would rather have a new one.

1st thing I did was stop by Verizon for a screen protector & blue gel case. Then when I thought I could live without it for 12 hours I put the Skinomi screen protector I ordered from Amazon a month ago on it!

I also ordered screen protectors and purple gel case from Verizon online. My favorite is a DecalGirl Skin and screen protector. That is what I did with my Fascinate, but if you drop it onto pavement it will scratch (experience speaking.) I like to replace the batteries rather than plug it in, so the hard snap on cases don't work well for me.

I have a Rosetti purse with 3 large pockets so I can put my NookTablet in one side pocket, wallet in the middle and on the other side it has two small pockets that my phone fits in perfectly!

If I'm up an about at home or shopping I tend to just keep it in my back pocket.

Great thread idea by the way :-).

I bought some noise cancellations headphones from Best Buy and they came with a little pouch. So instead of buying a case, I started putting my Nexus in it :-)

My wife uses an Otterbox Defender on her Droid X and will continue to do so when her upgrade is here in March and I get her a Nexus.

She's just too rough on phones for anything but an Otterbox. I see how she randomly tosses her X into her purse with her keys and who knows what else and it makes me shudder...

I haven't decided on a case yet, and I'm waiting for my screen protectors to come in.

I carry a small Celine-style box purse (trying to keep the shoulders/back happy without a heavy purse!) most days and I don't usually store my phone in it, but I can if I need to. Otherwise, I keep my Nexus in my jacket pocket. I haven't tried it in my jeans pocket yet but I should...(probably won't fit LOL)

Getting the Otterbox Defender for mine. That way if I accidentally put it in the wrong pocket or if keys get thrown in there, I don't have an ugly scratch on the screen.

Happy to see the ladies on here! My poor Nexus couldn't leave the house without protection, so I'm currently using the Verizon screen protector (not the anti-glare variety) and the purple gel case. I'm quite pleased with the case and the screen protector is a huge improvement over Verizon's previous offerings. Still, I have the Steinheil Oleophobic on order and it should arrive soon.

My baby always goes in whatever bag I happen to be carrying that day--could be a leather purse, backpack, or some other bag. I tend to put it in a compartment with nothing (or little) else so as to minimize any potential damage.

I can't imagine it'd be too much trouble to drill a little hole(s) in the case...or find a strapping young lad with a drill/bits to do it for you. Would certainly be much less trouble than knitting a case(well done to that woman ; ). Just a thought.

This made me laugh. :) Not sure why, but it did.

I agree. I would still like it that way out of the box. Maybe I can haggle a discount?

EDIT: You assume I don't have drill bits??? :)

That's what I was thinking. Don't need a young lad though... I took wood shop in high school. LOL... my boyfriend frowned when I said that after I ordered the case.

My Nexus is still naked. It fits perfectly into one of the inside pockets of my Coach bag. I'm not sure I'll feel comfortable putting my naked phone in my backpack when the semester starts. I might get a screen protector and a case, but I haven't started looking.

Sorry if this is sort of necrobumpy but I went to visit family and just now got a chance to catch up >.<

1. I have tried the ZAGG skin on my OG, and and am afraid it does not protect it enough because I tend to drop things. I want the desktop doc too, do not sure which way to go.

2. Nice crafty sleeve. You should sell them on Esty. I am not crafty! I am also torn on the pouch thing. Do you find it hard to hear your phone or get it out fast enough? I think I am going with a new purse with a dedicated phone pocket.

1. Yeah the more I read about the various skins the more I suspect I'll stick to a gel or hard case and suck it up with regards to the dock :/

2. Thanks! I don't think I could do etsy cuz my crafting is largely sporadic and need-based lol. But yeah I've noticed no audibility problems so far; I only missed the noise when in baggage claim, and I still felt it vibrate so that was fine. And the button's loop is nice and loose so as long as I don't put it in the wrong pocket it's a quick grab.

Also re: drilling easier than knitting - lol! While it is true that a small hole may be easier, don't be deceived- that sleeve was knit in only a couple hours while watching my BF play SW:TOR :-D not too hard, cheaper tools, just a little more time.

My cousin made her own leather "Coach" case for her phone. I'm pretty sure it's copyright infringement, but they will never know ;)

So I am not a lady, but my lady has a lot to say about how I carry my phone since I break things and then HAVE to replace them. So far I am going case less with a ZAGG shield. I have always used their screen covers and have NEVER had an issue. So you understand how much I use them... Eris, OG, X, Inc, DSLR, point and shoot and an old non smart phone all had them.

After trying out the extended battery and being unhappy with the added size I'm hoping to stay case less.
