Lag after September update

Since last week's update with ECG, I have noticed my watch being laggy randomly. Additionally, when I use it to run, the tracking app craps out after 30 mins and then the detection kicks in. A daily restart, doesn't help.

I went ahead and uninstalled any apps that I was wasn't using, then backed up my watch and reset it to stock. Synced the backup and still run into the issue.

Gas anyone else seen similar issues since last week?

Lag (increased ping time)? Or slow (other things)? An update shouldn't change the latency of the internet connection, but it could make the watch slower because some system firmware was poorly written. (Nothing you can do about that but complain to Samsung [which will do no good, but it might make you feel better].)

Hey, thanks for taking the time to waste mine, and anyone else who reads your response.??????

Why is it a waste of time? Rukbat was saying that the system update might have made the watch slower if there was a problem with how it was coded. If that's the case, there really isn't anything you can do besides send feedback to Samsung. I wouldn't say that sending feedback won't do any good, since there's no way for a company to know about issues unless users send feedback -- but it is true that Samsung will almost certainly not send any direct response to you about it.

You mentioned removing all apps, then resetting the watch. But then you mentioned restoring it -- so does that mean you reinstalled apps? I'm not sure if there's a way to boot the watch into Safe Mode, but if there is, I'd try that. Otherwise, uninstall all 3rd party apps and see if the problem persists.

I wasted his time because I didn't give him some magical way of defeating reality.

Oh, well.

the watch lagged and crashed during my workout as well and i lost the workout progress and couldnt' bring it back up and then the watch screen went dark and it took five minutes to get it to come back on and work again. then my workout was gone or i couldn't figure out how to bring it back up. hopefully the new update i just got yesterday fixed the problem.

Did this latest update come just a week after the previous one? If so, it sure sounds like an urgent bugfix (and would confirm what Rukbat was saying).

I can't remember exactly when i got it but it was about a day or two after the big update. thankfully. today i used it for the elliptical cardio workout and it worked fine.
