Laggy message app?

When I hit the back button from one message to see all my other messages the green bubble stays there for a few seconds after saying I still have a message to read. Occasionally I exit out of the app and come back in and the bubbles reappear, but there are no new messages still. I only have about 20 messages total, so that shouldn't be the problem? Maybe it's normal, but coming from a blackberry it was instant and I'm not used to it. Anyone else have this problem or ideas on how to fix? Thanks

I am not using stock messaging app. I use GO SMS Pro and I have lagging issues when scrolling up or down in a conversation. Also incomming text messages show up on top of my replies. Let's say I get asked a question, I answer it (outgoing reply shows under the question, like a normal messaging app ) but when the other person sends me another text right away it shows directly under the original question and above my answer. I hope this doesn't sound confusing but it is aggravating. Any ideas?

Same. My stock messaging app is laggy and takes a while to update the unread message count.

I do not have that laggy issue you guys speak of. But I do have the keyboard lag issue that I experienced with the original EVO. When I get into the thread I go to respond and you can see the keys being pushed but nothing on the screen. I have to back out and go back into the thread to correct the problem. You can always tell when it will do it, because the auto capital for the first letter (arrow key) will not be highlighted. It's not all the time, but it is frequent.
