Late or missing text messages.

I have a new Photon 4g. But on Dec 31st I started having texting problems that still haven't gone away.

People were wondering why I wasn't responding to their texts on New Years Eve. So I showed them the next day on my phone that I never received them. They received my texts, but I never received theirs.

On January 1st and today (2nd), I started to get the texts from Dec 31st. They come in sporadic bursts and are dated as just sent. The order is all screwed up as well. Many are still missing.

It isn't a specific Sprint tower problem either since I drove over 200 miles and I received random 1, 2, and 3 day old out-of-order texts no matter where I was.

Sometimes current texts are immediately received and sometimes they come a day or two or three late. Occasionally they are only a few hours late.

It's driving me nuts and all Sprint tells me to do is reboot my phone (which doesn't solve the problem). I have no idea if I've missed some really important time sensitive texts.

Has anyone else experienced this? Any solutions?

I got a New Years text at 3:50am today (January 3rd). Person said they sent it on New Years.

Do you guys have Google Voice? A lot of texts get caught in their filter before even going to the web interface. If you know the number you aren't getting texts from, go on their website for help and put in the phone number. This has resolved my problem several times

No. I don't have Google Voice. But the problem seems to have finally gone away on it's own (Jan. 5). Or at least I think it has. The last text from New Years arrived yesterday (Jan. 4). I hope it doesn't happen again in the future.

Hm.....

I have the same problem lately, my text messages are late.

Most of the time till now I didn't notice any problems, but today I realize that a few persons which I communicate with message, didn't replyed me.

I also have a problem with calls. I have this phone ( XPERIA ARC ) about month and a half 45 days more or less.

People frequantly telling me that I was unavailable to get me, when they called me.
And I was in town, places with strong signal.

I contact the operator and they told me, they not certainly sure is this problem with them, or the phone.


Today, just before couple of hours I swapped phone and turn the SIM in old phone.

Almost immediatly messages which were fail to delivered to my XPERIA, are delivered in old phone.



SO; this is definetelly problem in phone.
