I recently updated my Galaxy S5 to Marshmallow and was notified of a new software update a few days ago, yet it keeps failing to install.

This is the info from the software update:
Version G900IDVU1CPL1/G900IX5A1CPL1/G900IDVU1CPL1
Improved stability
184.99MB

My phone will download the update, then reboot and start installing it, but every time it will get to 26% and then say 'error'. When the phone starts up again I'll get a message saying 'Failed to update software please visit a Samsung service centre.'

Here's some more info about my phone if it helps:
Network: Optus Australia
Model number: SM-G900I
Android version: 6.0.1
Baseband version: G900IDVU1CPJ1
Kernel version: 3.4.0-9465984
dp1@SWDD5806 #1
Fri Nov 1116:24:44 KST 2016
Build number: MMB29M.G900IDVS1CPK1

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This phone doesn't work with Kies, only Smart Switch. I just checked and apparently there's another different software update through Smart Switch (over 1GB)..

Updated it with Smart Switch. No problem. The 184.99MB 'Improved Stability' update through the phone has now gone, so I don't know what the go was there.

Kies PC suite was discontinued for phones after the Lollipop update. Since then, Smart Switch is used.
