my last company had a really tough one.. would block all sorts of stuff.. I cant remember if online radio worked or not though.. I think it did through aolradio
It's very easy to go over 10GB a month.
If you have an office job where you sit for 8-9hrs, it's very easy to queue up 5 1 hour long podcasts a day.
If you work out, streaming music at the gym with Pandora or another app goes without saying.
For longer sessions, Netflix on the eliptical is a must.
Youtube videos on lunch. Websurfing, RSS reading. I could go on and on.
My question is, how do you not use at least 2GB a month on these awesome devices?
And what are you gonna do? Leave to another provider where you'll still be limited to 2GB data? I mean c'mon I understand you're frustration, but there's no solution. It's an industry wide trend. We have to accept the fact and adapt. Pay for only 2GB of data and use Wi-Fi as much as you can.... or pony up the dough for more data. It's that simple.
how does anyone with sprint use more then 1 gb of data? you must live in the one place in the country where they have usable 3g.. or perhaps you are in one of the dozen places where they have wimax.
edit: can you printscreen your last months data usage? I'd love to see that you actually used 10gb..

Someone in my office has Sprint with a Photon 4g. His reception BLOWS. He has to place his phone in his guest chair in order to receive his text messages.Every heard of Sprint?
Sprint's download speeds are horrible at best even on Wimax.... there is a reason its unlimited. It would take forever to download 1 gig on there network. I just switch to Verzion from Sprint(in a 4G area)Every heard of Sprint?

You won't have to worry about going over your data limit with that kind of service.![]()

When i was on Sprint i average about 1.5 gigs a month just because the download speeds were unbearable. Now that im with Verzion im 4 days into my 1st billing cycle and have used almost .5 gig its just as fast for me to look up stuff on my phone then the network here at work.
Sprint is unlimited for a reason!!!!!
3) If this happens Nexus may be my last Smartphone with Verizon after 16 years with them.
It's almost like Google wants to promote one vision of how devices should use data and the carriers responsible for delivering the data are not in step.
Same with apple promoting the cloud.^This. Absolutely true. I think that's why Google originally tried to use the Nexus brand to get around carriers entirely. Too bad it didn't work.
Same
Sprint is looking mighty appealing if they keep the unlimited plan and expand their 4G capabilities.
But they do throttle though correct?
I wouldn't mind actually if for the 30.00 it was 5gb soft cap like used to be (I say it was) but it is no longer in your contract fine print.
4-5gb a month is reasonable.
Most likely it wouldn't be though since 95% of people use less than 2gb according to vzw.

they spoil me. Their coverage is so good, i don't ever turn on wifi. Never roamed and frequently am in 4g area. I had sprint and i roamed in my apartment at work (which means 1xrtt speeds). I was in a sprint 4g market and i can assure you, you can't keep a signal while moving with wimax. It was a joke really.
