Launcher default setting help?

I tried making ADW Launcher my default launcher I navigated to settings/applications/managed applications/installed apps/ADW. Once I get to that screen I can not select it as a default because the the option isn't highlighted to select so how do it? Thanks for your input in advance!

When you are on your home screen, try the home key. It should ask you what launcher you want to use. Just check mark to use by defalt and select ADW.

I tried that and the screen opens up with the last 6 apps I last used.

Just a short click should do it, long press is for recent apps.

Since I couldn't find the other way to do it I downloaded home switcher thanks guys LOL I bit the bullet on this one.

Also- Homescreen>menu>settings>applications>running>Launcher pro> Clear defaults at the bottom then next time you press home it should which home app to use

I downloaded Home Switcher for Froyo, I go into LP in applications, and I can't clear defaults (it isn't highlighted), but whenever I press "HOME" it automatically loads up LP. I want the stock launcher to be my default, but I have no clue how to do it.

Settings > Applications > Manage Applications >All Locate home and clear defaults. Press the home key and you will be prompted to make a choice. Remember to check make default if you are making a choice versus testing.

Edit: Sorry - in your case, locae Launcher Pro instead of Home...

I had the same problem that you did & found that Home Switcher didn't work for me. I tried both the regular and Froyo versions...neither would set the one I wanted as the default & leave it that way.

Try HomeSmack. It actually worked for me.

Edit: You could also just uninstall LauncherPro

Thank you sir. I used HomeSmack and it worked. I was finally able to select the Moto Launcher as my default.

I was debating in deleting LP, but I was waiting to see if there was a way to leave it on there (in case I decide to use it later on) but still get my Moto Launcher back.

Thanks again. I've been having some really random issues with this X lately. Glad this site can help me out.
