Launcher Pro, ADW, or touchwiz?

It was interesting reading through this as I briefly tried launcher pro on my EVO and liked it, but it made you buy the pro version to have like the favorites widget working good, I do miss a lot of that from Sense...But Actually one thing I love about TW that not many people mentioned is I like the apps not all being on one page, that was annoying this looks so much more clean and organized. Which Launcher can I use that would keep this functionality and be more like sense?

Also my phone screen keeps freezing a lot in every the only work around I found was pressing the power button to turn it off n back on, is this a launcher issue or bad phone?

THere could be am illion different reasons for the phone lagging, including the upload bug

Elaborate on the upload bug? Most of the time when i send a picturemail it never goes it just has the idle clock....

Whenever you upload large files over 3G, the phone will start lagging like crazy. Also, it could jsut be that you have too many apps running, or something.

there are a ton of options for LP under the advanced section taht let you mess around with memory use and that sort of thing. Increasing mem use will probably reduce lag.

i use ADW and i have stuck with that. i have tried LP before and idk i just didn't like it. it has alot of good things going for it but ADW just appeared more like the right one for me but thats just me. i know others disagree and thats fine. its just good to have different choices to choose from.

im using launcherpro so smooth tw would be used if i can change tray icons

That is the main reason why i switched to Launcher pro

I like the scrolling tray icons in LP. Also, LP recently has added swipe functionality on the tray icons. Swipe up the phone icon to see a list of missed calls, swipe up on SMS will show unread messages, swipe up on the browser icon will bring up your bookmarks. You set up these actions yourself so you don't have to use them if you don't want.

Everyone knows LP has the 3D app drawer, right?

Sorry, I just really like LP and while talking with other android users many didn't know everything it can do!

I think it's only for lp plus users.

I went from launcher pro plus to the touchwiz version posted in the app section and finally settled on ADW. Horizontal scrolling for apps is a necessity. Plus I think ADW is more elegant than lp, not to mentioning the theming options.

I haven't really tried the other two launchers, but I actually like Touchwiz. I'm coming from a Pre and this is sort of the same format. I prefer the side-scrolling app screen too.

Just curious, but with Launcher Pro and ADW, can you have the side-scrolling app screen as well?

Coming from A pre I was dissapointed with Touch Wiz.. Specifically the Dock apps.

I downloaded Launcher Pro so I could change the dock and dock apps, I was pleasently surprised to find out I can also easily customize the 3 DOCKS a and customiz the icons anyway i chose. ( I am using some Palm Pre icons for Android apps, such as contacts...

On touch wiz the dock icons are set and can't be changed out or customized. Since I didn't care too much for the stock TW messaging App I decided to go with Handcent which blows the Pre out of the water in look, functionality & notifcation customization options..

If you are coming from a Pre the launcher Pro will offer a nice transition. If you are ok with the standard apps and not being able to change the dokced apps & if you prefer Side scrolling pages.. then TW is not bad..

The cool thing is you can easily switch between different launchers..

I kind of like TW. LP is growing on me, though it seems a little laggy expecially when accessing the App drawer or trying to create a shortcut. Probably has to do with TW still running. I like how you can slide the bottom tray for up to 15 shortcuts.

you can customize launcher pro to have up to 7 screens

Starting to look at launcherpro the main reasons are the customizable dock and the landscape mode without having the keyboard out.

The one thing I feel I am missing is the Samsung Widget for the program manager, the one that lets you know if you have apps running in the background, when you tap it launches the stock task manager so you can end your app processes. Any widgets out there that I can do the same thing with LP?
