A few questions. I was using Laucher Pro before I rooted and loaded SkyRaider 2.5.2 w/Sense last night. I really like Launcher Pro and since this was my first attempt at rooting, Roms, Radio versions I figured I should load the one with sense. If I want to use Launcher Pro can I just install it with the verison of SkyRaider I have or should I load SkyRaider 2.5.2 Vanilla first and then load Launcher Pro? And if I should go to Vanilla what's the best way to do that? Would I have to go through the whole process again?

Also, I have been reading a lot of theads during this rooting, Rom, Radio update process and I have come across S-On and S-Off. Can some explain what that means? I tried doing a search for it here but nothing came up.

S-On and S-Off in short turns off Signature checking in the ROM. Meaning you can flash back to older radios, or un-signed radios, mods, and ROMs etc. Just makes customizing easier in some aspects and more dangerous in others because it will over write files you didn't have access to in the past.

In my opinion i would load Vanilla if you are looking to use a launcher. You have no need for sense of your phone if you are looking for a launcher. My vanilla flies and is crisp. I can also notice a little difference in speed.

I agree, however if you get a true vanilla ROM you are missing the HTC dialer, contacts, etc. Not just the bar at the bottom. Most people running vanilla aren't actually running vanilla, IE SR 2.5.2. With that being said however my SR 2.5.2 Vanilla install is very ver ycrisp, fast, and responsive.

So if I decide to install SR 2.5.2 Vanilla I will lose my HTC Dialer, contacts, ect.. as you mentioned? And what is the easiest way to load Vanilla, though the ROM Manager?

I appreciate everyone's help. I'm sure y'all are tired of all these newbie questions. :-)

Once you select Download Rom -> Ihtfp69 -> SkyRaider 2.5.2 -> Select Download -> Then choose Vanilla

^Thats how you can download and install the ROM. No with SR 2.5.2 you still have the HTC dialer etc. He just striped a lot of Sense out but it's not a pure Vanilla ROM. Cyanogen however is, but some things are still a bit buggy from what I've seen.
