Ok so I downloaded " Red Clockworkmod recovery" and pull up ODIN, hold down volume button and plug in phone, Big yellow triangle shows up, click PDA and click to open this red clockwork recovery file and it says, invalid image type, so I click ok and hit start anyways and it says check files and does nothing, What is goin on???

I noticed when I DLed the files there were 2 .md5's at the end. I just renamed it. Take one of the .md5 extensions out.

Examine the downloaded file. What's the file extension? How big is the file?

Oh and I wouldn't do this again in the future:

My file only has 1 md5's, so it's not the problem I guess, ANYBODY got a clue for this new guy here, I've read all 50 pages.

Haze... all those choices and ya gotta have Haze, tell me how to send it to ya and I will!

He posted it for me cuz the one on page 1 would not down load right, I thanked him for it. I have never done anything to this phone except DL the dl09 update last week so its completely stock if that helps.....

Finally got Froyo up and running, had to flash back to stock DL09 and use Red CWM to flash DL30, then restored everything thanks to Titanium Backup.

Huge thanks to DroidXcon and everyone else!!! Mmm frozen yogurt!!

@C.K

Sorry, I missed that part. This is a very hard thread to follow with so much activity. When you put your phone in download mode do you get a yellow com port in Odin? You're also using the PDA button correct? I've never seen something like this happen.

I don't get anything yellow on ODIN, and yes I read make darn sure you click pda only.... Maybe I'm doin somethin wrong but I'm following the directions to a T.....

Did you install the Samsung drivers before you started all this?

take out the battery, and leave it out
plug your phone into the computer
hold vol down button until you see a yellow triangle
wait maybe a minute, if you do not see a yellow com port in odin
try a different USB port
if still nothing you will need the fascinate drivers

try following this post

try the drivers under downloads>get drivers>software https://forums.androidcentral.com/e...ers%2Fproduct%2FSCH-I500RKAVZW&token=Ub4cLnSl

When I plugged my phone in for thre first time it said it installed the drivers, are these the ones your talking about...

usually if you throw your phone in debugging mode the computer will find them and install them itself.
