Leaked ics

I noticed that it upgraded the radio. Even with root, I do not believe you can revert to the old radio, since you don't have s-off

On scott's website, he seems to think you can by locking, and flashing the GB RUU. Could not find anybody that actually did that. I think if it's not going to work, it's because H-Boot gets updated, but don't ask me why, that's above my pay grade.

..... and I kept reading like a good boy, and found myself to be a weeeee bit of a liar. No going back.

Hooray reading, give it up for reading. :-!

Maybe you can answer this b/c my pay grade is slightly above the lowest available. Only way I see that arise, when reverting to stock. It would be if the updated hboot did not recognizing the former RUU as the correct one given an updated hboot/firmware? I'm at a loss, on anything besides that scenario. Any others?

Misinformed and liar are not one in the same.

Well, I tried to flash an older ruu on my thunderbolt and it didn't let me. Of course, it may be different for the rezound.

How far along did you get before fail? Pay no heed to this if you ran into trouble elsewhere. I had a failure once, on my Rezound when reverting back to stock.. It kept failing, saying it was the wrong RUU, Until I realized I was doing it while unlocked. Been smooth sailing from there on out.

I went ahead and installed the update. Everything seems to be working. I don’t think apps are moving to my sd card, I think they are only moving to the internal memory. Camera, gps all work.

Uh oh, hopefully not a bricked Rezound because of a leaked OTA gone wrong! Did you try pulling the SDcard and the SIM Card and then try rebooting without them?

I tried installing the update. I got to where it asked me to update then I said yes. It seemed like it updated some files but then said update failed and asked me to reboot. The phone never rebooted. It is 100% dead. I don't even get a light to come on when I plug in the charger.

This is why I don't root my phone. Just wait till the OTA. Hope you get it up and running though.

What specific rom was your phone running (locked oem, stock or custom, rooted or unrooted) when you did this? There's alot of variables at play between the two, solution wise. If you weren't rooted, your the second person I've seen achieved the next to impossible task of bricking.

Wow, didn't know my opinion was in such high demand. Anyway I haven't had a chance to even peek at the leak yet but as specified pretty much everywhere this is an RC, not the production release. Only major change I've read about thus far is that the data arrows work again and really that wasn't a big deal for me before, and it's not now.

Didn't I tell you a couple of weeks ago that you're an authority type around here? Gotta listen to me, brother. I speak the truth.

The leaked ics is absoluty amazing. Combine it with Scott's cleanrom 4.0 and its pure goodness

I was on the stock rom not rooted at all. I was up to date with the latest verizon update. It was the strangest thing. Maybe it was coincidence that it died after so many reboots and trying. I have taken out the sim and the SD card and tried to reboot. It is 100% dead. The light doesn't even come on when I plug it into the charger.

sorry to hear that, this why I have not touch my phone staying stock.
I was wondering is there any way if you had backed up every thing could you reload it or re-flash it. I do not knew too much about rooting or roms just wondering if there was any way to safe guard your self.

Is it better than Clean ROM?

Clean ROM is amazing as far as I'm concerned except for battery life. How does the combo you mentioned compare to just using his Clean ROM?

It's your sweet pic that makes you in high demand. You could say the data arrows working is the change, but it's all the other things that were buggy that are working. For instance, APW people widget could not see Facebook contact photos, no matter my rom. Now they work perfect. And at least on the Bamf 1.1 rom, chrome bookmarks are syncing to the stock browser. Things like that. Plus I'm at 2.5 hours of screen on time and 4.5 hours off the charger on a standard battery and still have 41% left.

So when you go to Manage Applications, you're not given the choice to transfer apps to sd? Is it just some apps or all of them? Dabombcra said he has done it on his so I'm just trying to get to the bottom of this. If ICS, doesn't allow apps to sd, then I won't be downloading it to my Bolt.

Thanks again for the feedback on this everyone. It's much appreciated!

This was a long time ago before I rooted the tb, Iirc, it was in the hboot screen and it said something like incompatible when I tried to flash an older ruu. Don't remember exactly though. I looked in the forums, a lot of people had this problem as well.

The Rezound it has 16 gb storage built in. With gingerbread the storage was broken up with about 2 gb for apps, 10 gb for app data, and the rest for the OS. Apps could be put on the sd card or the 2 gb built in.

With this leak apps download to the 2 gb, and instead of having an option to move to sd, it says "move to phone storage" which appears to move them to the 10 gb built in instead of the sd card.

I also wish I knew, however I think since it won't power up and nothing happens even when I plug it in that there is really nothing that can be done. It seems to me that something went bad with the hardware from rebooting it rather than the software getting messed up from trying to load the ROM.

Hoped to hear different from you, that's all the makings of a true brick. Something went way wrong somewhere.Sad ro say there's really nothing you can do w/out power. Upside is you don't have to worry about a hassle swapping out.
