Let's see your Pixel 6 and 6 Pro photos!

I can't say that I've seen any overexposure. One of the main hallmarks I've noticed about Pixel shots is that they tend toward the warm side -- i.e., almost orange/burnt sienna.

By over exposure I don't mean blown highlights or overall lighter scene, more that shadows seem to have a slightly unnaturally lighter shade to them.

Think I'd rather have a little warm color temp than cold.

Ah, I see what you mean. Yeah, I think that's part of the AI to reduce contrast differences. I don't mind that, because I don't like photos where things in shadow are almost invisible

I totally understand. In some photos I've seen in comparisons with say the iPhone 13, the iPhone just looked more natural, but of course the shadow detail was better on the Pixel.

Wish it were adjustable, but guess post processing would take care of it. Unbelievable that Google didn't include a "Simple, Auto, and Manual" mode like my 6 year old LG G4.

The camera was on auto-nightsight for me and turned it OFF but regular camera still makes things "lighter" than they are in real life IMO. I can take a picture and looking at real object and pic can tell that's not what it looks like in life. Messing with sliders I can get close but I don't really want to sit playing with stuff for a quick picture. Worst is it doesn't happen all the time only occasionally.

Have you ever tried adjusting the Shadows in the Google Photos editing feature?

I take it that's after the photo has been taken, like an onboard editor? I don't have a Pixel, yet. I have been waiting for the big Bug/bad December Update kerfuffle to settle down before I take the plunge, especially the bad Cell reception part. Things look somewhat encouraging ;).

Right, it's Google Photos (which can be installed on any phone, not just Pixels).

Party in the forums. But seriously, I gotta work tomorrow. I'm gonna leave early. Just popping in.
