Drove passed this closed down gas station this morning and saw the "used to be" prices compared to the prices now and got depressed LOL

Those were the days. Hell, when I was a kid I can remember when regular unleaded was under a dollar. Man, I'm old.

I passed my test in '94. Was £0.50 a litre.

Now £1.45. So about $5.5 / US Gal ATM.

When we went over the £1/litre in 2005 there were rolling road block protests and farmers blocking parliamentary buildings. Now we have bigger things to worry about. .

Ours are just as depressing. £1.48 per LITRE!!

When I was in HS it was .19 USD per gallon on average but there were price wars between service stations at times that could reduce it more. And someone pumped it for us, cleaned the front and rear windows, checked the oil...etc.

With the very common gas wars price in '72 would go down to $0.12 a gallon. $1.00 would fill the tank of my '65 Mustang.

The intention had been to photograph what was behind me with the stars. An old railway platform. Objects, perception and composition are key. But the lens flare from its lights was too strong. The 6 really sucks with lens flare .


Anyway , Alice Littler memorial park, Aberlour , Scotland.
Cracking clear night. I had 5 mins to shoot something as my pint was waiting at the bar
