LG G Stylo wont connect to wifi

my friend has a stylo that was getting mip:67 errors and wouldnt connect to wifi, she took out the sim and that stopped the mip errors, but but the wifi still wont work, she puts in the password and hits connect and nothing happens, the dialogue goes away but nothing else happens, no loading, no authentication error or anything, anybody know whats going on?

I should clarify that she's using it as more of an "iPod" than a phone, as much as I hate to compare it to that

Is this only on one wifi (router) or every wifi (router) she tries to connect to?
