I was wondering because I read somewhere it was supposed to be in January or the end of it and now we are heading into middle of February. This is my first LG phone and was wondering if they just put products out and forget them?

I read that the update will be hitting LG G2 by close of Q1 so you should have it before the end of March. It's more than likely that the LG G3 will be out before the update tho :)

I'm thinking the same thing and not that I really care that much about 4.4, but it's pretty pathetic that it hasn't come to the G2 here yet. I wish Android issued updates like Apple does on a more consistent and uniform basis.

Re: Any word on 4.4?

Yeah I agree and I think in time it's something that will happen, apple have got it nailed down for updates. That's why I have a nexus, as it bugs me so much waiting for updates!!

Re: Any word on 4.4?

I can't remember where I read this but I read somewhere that some think that it will start rolling out after MWC when they show off new devices running 4.4.2.

I'm talking current nexus, like the nexus 5

The update should be available within the next 4-6 weeks, which would be about 6-7 months after the G2 was released. Not bad for LG.

AT&T is getting it right now. Hopefully we're not too far behind.

Yeah, I know.

Re: Any word on 4.4?

I'm excited that LG stated 17% better performance with KK on the G2.

Re: Any word on 4.4?

I was on the phone with Verizon today for another issue, and the conversation turned into talking about updates. Apparently the tech had one too. What she said when I started talking about the move that drew attention to ATT for the update to Kit Kat was, "they were not supposed to do that" then went hmm. It was strange, almost to imply that there was a carrier timeframe between them. Sadly, what she said is that VZW update is a ways off (grain of salt with everything). I said like March and she didn't say no or yes. So, oh well. Hopefully, the fact that ATT dropped the update will prompt them to get rolling.

typical Verizon tardiness....... (and likely cluelessness)

Re: Any word on 4.4?

Now T-Mobile has it too. Looks like Verizon is going to be dead last again as usual. :(

Re: Any word on 4.4?

Verizon needs to realize that software updates aren't going to significantly impact the stability of their network. Considering Verizon is a founding member of the Open Handset Alliance, they really ought to know better.
