LG G2 Camera Pictures: Show us your stuff :D

Re: LG G2 Camera Pictures : Show us your stuff :D

The restaurant pics make the room seem well lit but in reality...it was quite dim so they really upped their low light capabilities with this phone.

What does everyone use for the MP setting? The default is 10MP and 16:9. The 13MP is 4:3. Is the 13MP better or does it really matter? I read one review that said the phone takes better shots on the 10MP setting.

Here are a few our the pet Praying Mantis in our office. Love the detail you can make out! These were with iA mode.

Very nice photos but as said before the only problem with the G2 camera is the auto-exposure,most of the photos are too bright, can you set exposure to 0 and ISO to 100-200 to see the difference in daylight photos?

Yes you can, going to play with it some more when I get the chance. I was just taking some ISO 100 shots outside right now in bad lighting, didn't love any of the shots but not bad at all.

A few more of the Praying Mantis, this time taken with Manual Focus. They aren't as completely sharp as I wanted, but it was swaying on the limbs of the potted lemon tree in our office. Considering that, I think they are quite impressive!

Does he stay in that tree the whole time?? You would think he would wander off once in a while

He's been there about four days now. It appears to have realized this particular tree is a good "hunting ground" cause we keep feeding it crickets and other critters so we can photograph it. Haha

Haha, I was gonna say - I've never heard of a freely roaming "pet" praying mantis before...Pretty cool how he's sticking around for the daily feedings though. They are def. cool creatures

If you plan to watch your pix on an HDTV, you might be better off with the 10MP setting as that will fill up your 16:9 TV from edge to edge. The 4:3 setting is a higher resolution, but if you display it on a TV, you'll have to zoom in a bit to fill up the screen. Of course shooting in a higher resolution allows you to zoom in more.

It's easier to simply set the exposure down a notch. There is an exposure control on the camera, so it's easy doing that.

Grammy, turns 95 in Nov. Had to take this without her knowing, she didn't want any pics because she needed to fix her hair. Only edit was a crop.

second shot is in night mode, no editing:

hdr wins.

Re: LG G2 Camera Pictures : Show us your stuff :D

That HDR night shot is pretty legit...I am impressed with the low light capabilities. Yes, it takes a sec or two...or three, to focus sometimes, but the result is worth it compared to most smartphones.

Re: LG G2 Camera Pictures : Show us your stuff :D

First pic out of the box. Remembered the default setting was 10MP out of the box, and changed it to 13MP after. Any thoughts on this? Also, why no macro mode?

All pics were taken with the G2 other than the once with a slight purple tint or purple background(indoors) those are with the Lumia 920 because the g2 couldn't focus or produced terrible images .
