Actually as we speak one that has only been used for 3 weeks just popped up for $355. I think I may do it.
If the cash is not the issue, I would really consider it.

I have been surfing ebay and other internet retailers for a good deal on an AT&T LG G2. I currently have a Nexus 4 and I am a bit bored of it and would like a bigger better screen (but not overly big). I don't mind a used phone as long as it looks and functions like new. I have some bids going now and I will definitely buy if I can do it for $300 or under (on "new" or "like new"). I don't mind the that the LG G2 has been out for a bit and hasn't been updated yet, I am perfectly content with Jelly Bean, there isn't much new that is a must have in Kit Kat for my needs. So what do you guys think? Is the LG G2 still a good phone to pick up for $300?
Somethings that concern me:
-The size it doesn't seem too much bigger than the Nexus 4. I have held a Samsung Galaxy S4 and didn't mind that size.
-AT&T Battery life. I have heard this phone has great battery life, but on the forums I have read horror stories about the AT&T model battery life.
-New phones are coming out! This doesn't really bother me, new phones are always right around the corner. My contract isn't up for a bit, I just need something to hold me over.
Input! Yours! Appreciated!
If your not going to ROM it is best just to freeze, makes taking the OTAs easier because your not getting on without the crapware.
Wouldn't rooting disable the ability to get OTAs anyway?
Well it has got to be better than my N4. Honestly if I can go 1 day that is what is important, and it sounds like that is an easy task for the G2.
Get ready for some amazing battery life.
I would suggest a factory reset as soon as you get it just so you're starting fresh before you customize it to your liking.
I love my One partly because I'm so accustom to sense but I'm jealous of my daughters LG G2 on a daily basis due to the battery life.

I switched from a nexus 4 to a g2, because I dropped my n4 in the sink. It took a while to come around to the UI, stock android is definitely slicker and less cartoonish. The G2 feels a little inconsistent, it has crazy animations in some places and lacks animations in places where you might expect them. There are different themes in all the LG apps. But the G2's UI is better looking than touchwiz. Despite the small issues you might have with the UI, coming from the nexus, some of LG's add-ons are actually really good. Quick memo's great, q slide has been useful at times, and I use quick remote all the time. That, the camera, and the battery are why I'd never switch back to a nexus. I'd miss a lot of LG's features, whereas the nexus doesn't offer anything I can't get by rooting. I've used xposed to make it look more like stock, but I still have all of LG's software features, so I've made my G2 almost perfect for me. But if you decide not to do that, it's still a better overall compromise imo.
LG has a terrible UI on that phone, which is most unfortunate cause the hardware is killer and the camera is impressive as well.

??Using third party launchers negates potential reasons for buying the phone.
I've not heard any complaints so far. I see you're using the 5S. If i were you i'd be significantly more worried about the build quality of your own phone than the g2.If you're just buying for hardware then there are other phones with hardware just as good but less glossy plastic build quality.
