Maybe is a setting that needs to be activate it, did you searched for it?... I have a G3 with lollipop (T-Mobile) and we don't have the marshmallow upgrade yet.Ordered 2 of the LG G3 phones from Verizon last year and just yesterday updated to the Marshmallow update. This update has eliminated the GESTURES options in settings to allow the phone to be answered by simply placing the phone to the ear. Only way now is to perform the swipe function which is very unsafe IMO for my 65 yr. old wife driving down the road doing this. I called Verizon and they replied call LG or the Android folks since it is out of their hands. I assure you i will NO longer be purchasing any Android equipped cell phone that cares so little about public safety when driving, to remove the various gesture options for answering calls. Thousands of folks do not drive vehicles equipped with Bluetooth so please do not respond with remedies that resolve nothing for alot of people. The apps on the Playstore have most all been totally useless regarding phone answering options all the way back to Kit Kat, so please dont mention these junky apps either.
So when will an update be brought forth to rectify and restore the Gestures feature alot of users enjoyed.
Regards, Ron

What about the phone speakers... When I drive I use the phone speakers and it works very well for me. I don't need to use any Bluetooth device.Ron,
Your wife, nor anyone, should be holding a phone up to their ear while driving! If you don't have bluetooth (there are hundreds of inexpensive bluetooth FM transmitters BTW) then DO NOT USE THE PHONE WHILE DRIVING! Some states police will pull you over and give you a ticket for this as it is an UNSAFE practice that has caused accidents and deaths. No phonecall while driving is that important that it cant wait if you dont have hands free capability.
