LG G3: AT&T

can someone with their AT&T G3 take the cover off the back and snap a pic? I want to see the wireless charging pins

They have already confirmed the pins over at XDA (I think there was even a picture) and that you only need to buy a Qi charging case or cover to allow the G3 to charge via Qi standard.

Can you post specs.. Is it 2gb ram and 16gb storage or 3 gig ram and 32 storage.. I can't find it anywhere for at&t

Storage and RAM has been confirmed by AT&T on Twitter, and by various others sources, including an AT&T rep here as 3GB/32GB.

Phillip, you need to take a valium. It's been widely reported by AT&T themselves as early as yesterday that they will only be selling the 32GB/3 gig of RAM model.

I went to Best Buy at lunch because i called and was told by the CS person that they had a demo phone in stock. Of course I got there and the two guys in the mobile phone dept told me they didn't have any demo. I cussed them and left. Luckily for me the AT&T store was practically next door and they did have one they let me play with briefly.

It is practically the same physical size as the S5 with it only being slightly longer. It fit in my pocket fine but it doesn't leave a lot of room for ohter items. The build quality stood out as it felt much better than the S5 and it actually feels like some type of metal.

I tested each phone to see how responsive they were by pressing the contacts button and seinfg which one opened first, then I did it with the phone dialer and then I did it with a couple of other trivial apps. Every time the G3 was faster to respond and complete the task.

I did take a picture with the G3 and I was not impressed one bit. I took a picutre of a couple of the customers that were in the store and the result was a dim looking picture. It wasn't very bright at all and darker than it should have been. Now in all fairness I never tweaked any settings and I didn't have the flash on.

All in all it seems pretty promising. I am still getting this phone over the S5 after playing with each.

Lucky for me I get Qi charging out of the box, however I would rather the 3/32gb in all honesty, I do wonder if that extra gig of ram will help support better battery life? It will be marginal but there should be a difference?

I don't have the fun but I can show you, as I said I've been through this 1000 times with US Windows Phones.

Circled the Wireless charging connectors, make sure the back plate you buy third party (on the Right) have those charging connectors and that off color pad on the back panel. That's the actual wireless charger. THEN NEED the charging pins otherwise it wont work.

Thanks so much. The only back covers I've seen don't look like that. Do you have a link to one that might?

Lucky you . The only hardware boost to battery life would've maybe been a more efficient processor (805). Preliminary impressions of the S5 LTE-A model I've seen show that the QHD can still push similar SoT to regular S5, likely due to the more efficient 805 processor.

I'll be stopping in to best buy after work today to confirm the price match works and throw in a preorder.

Just to confirm, I put in my preorder for my new Black G3 and the manager confirmed they will do the price match on the G Watch with AT&T. They just printed off the ad from the AT&T website for 50% off accessories. So I'll be getting my Gwatch and G3 this weekend.

Just cancelled my order.I was promised by 2 different people prior to placing the order that it would ship out yesterday and received today. I then called CS yesterday afternoon to confirm the shipping and was told it could take up to 48 hours to process before shipping which annoyed me because 2 other people told me it would ship same day. CS said I should get by Friday, but if I didn't get confirmation by today, that I could just cancel it.
Status didn't change today, so I called to cancel and that person said it couldn't be because it was being processed. Seriously, how can 2 reps give you completely different answers? After complaining for 10 minutes, they finally were able to cancel it. So annoying. The only reason I ordered online was because I am going away this weekend and didn't know if I would have time on friday to stop at a store. Now it looks like that's what I will have to do. Oh well, at least I can get the white one now.

Bummer. The premier site is very slow with updates to status on an order. I log in to my account on ATT.com and check order status there. There is a tracking number already on there and my phone has been picked up on ATT.com but still shows shipping on July 14-16 on the check status link on my premier order email.

Preordered yesterday morning w/ rush shipping and received my G3 this morning. 32gb, 3gb ram...screen readable in sunlight just like every other phone (not that great of course)...just to answer a few questions in this thread. LOL. So far, between it, the Nexus 5 and HTC M8...I've pretty much got it covered as far as the high end market goes (wasn't a fan of the S5 so sold it). I'm a fan so far.

You might look into this one or similar. I believe the International vs Korean pin configuration for wireless charging is different, so make sure it's compatible.

If you held the G3 next to the N5 outdoors in the sun, do you think one is easier to see than the other?

I don't think it does, it is showing two gold pins or points, however mine has four.
