LG G3 Cases

Just got my G3 today and immediately put it in the otter box defender case and a Zagg tempered glass screen protector.

I also removed the plastic screen protector that came with the defender, which is crap IMO

I'm pleasantly surprised that the defender isn't as bulky as in the past. I had one on my note 3 and it was bulky as hell and made the note 3 seem even taller. This one for the G3 keeps it's overall shape

NOW trying to decide if I should pull the trigger on the zerolemon battery and case or not...

I recently got the Zerolemon 9000mAh battery and case for my G3. I'm still conditioning the battery but two days of heavy use is easy to get.
It's well made and feels solid. Be very aware though that it is big rugged and heavy. It will definitely serve a purpose when charging isn't convenient but will not be my daily use case.

That's what I'm thinking. I had the zerolemon on my Note 3 and I didn't mind the size but the heft. It just was too heavy to use as a daily driver. .

Bit of a silly question but I don't have my g3 yet (its a birthday present) but am thinking about buying a case. The phone is black (wife got a good deal on it) and I have been watching reviews of quick circle case (the charging one that replaces the back). If I got a white case would it look odd? Does anyone use this combo they could show pictures of please?

Still not 100% sold on the quick circle as I'm not sure how much protection it will give of dropped but think it should be OK for in pocket protection against keys etc.

Hope someone can help.

I have the dark quick circle case, and because it replaces the back I'm sure the white would look fine with your phone. I dislike most cases in general, but I do enjoy the quick circle. It provides almost no drop protection, but it feels very nice and slim, and it will protect the screen in your pocket.
 
Are there regular :"stores" that carry these cases. I kinda want to look at them and see how it fits the phone before I buy them.

Was curious before I treck over to best buy or places like that.....

Don't think it's quite the exact one as Best Buys sells. BB sells the surface case and holster from Seidio except it's called their Platinum series. Check eBay, I picked up an open box one for $15.

Well, I've got the case (and obviously, the phone). I'd started to doubt the colour and the case but I'm actually pretty chuffed with it. The shimmery White is a wee bit girly for me but hey-ho.


Question though. I have it on the lg wireless charging dock with the wireless charging case. When I charge it the display still turns off. Is there anyway of showing the clock in the circle only whilst it's charging? Like a nightstand type clock.
Might be missing something obvious but there are so Many new things to learn with this phone I can't figure this one out!!

I'm really liking the look and level of protection some of these cases will offer. My main area of concern is being able to wirelessly charge the phone without removing the case. Ive only had my G3 2 days now and I love it but im coming from a Lumia 920 with an Otterbox and my stock Nokia Qi charger never had a problem charging through the case. Is there a short list of cases that are proven to work with a wireless charger?
