...and ended up being one of your best phones if I read your posts correctly.

My Evo lte was the same. Swapped out a bad one right of the get and loved the phone after.

Yes it was sad I couldn't keep both.

And at the end of the day we are all different in how we handle things.
And I think you are missing my point.
To suggest that a person does not own the phone because he commented on his negative experience is absurd.
Get it?

I do but OP sounds shady, as many have pointed out.

I'm glad to see people here on Android Central are just as touchy and sensitive as the Crackberry folks. I used to think it was just a BlackBerry thing :P

T-Mobile G3

The OP is highly suspect anyway. He only has one post and it is do not buy. Highly doubt it's legit. I understand some have issues and some prefer other devices. But to have only one post and it is just to slam a device that it suspect.

Maybe he never had a need or interest in forums like this until he got a bad device. An awful lot of first time posters do so specifically because they're having problems. I do agree with those who suggest the best course of action would be to return it and try another. rather than just to complain here.

G3

I see it like how the do scoring in Olympic events... Throw out the high and low scores. The OP wasn't interested in a discussion, he just wanted to complain. Fair enough as long as it wasn't just an outright troll post.

So responding to refute his post isn't going to change his mind. Best case, he'd argue and restate his point over and over.

What difference does it make? Every phone forum here has its share of 'this phone sucks' FUD...

Well...i love my phone and my experience has been just as awesome as the G2 was. I'll keep it and will get the G4 when it comes out. LG is a solid device.

I thought to myself, "WOW im going to be ahead of the class~friends~before any one else?". Now i know why. Regardless of what certain reviews say, this phone (or the one particularly am holding at the moment) is pure junk. When a review says they are getting 15-16 hrs of moderate use i doubt they mean to say 15-16 solid hours b/c lately it seems it takes just about that long to charge if you are still needing your phone during the charging time. Also, while charging, 9 1/2 out of 10 charges i could not use my phone for an important work crisis due to it felt as if i had the August sun sitting in my hand or on my lap. RIDICULOUS. Dbl tap, slide to unlock is simple even a Space Cadet Cowboy could work it. be sure you don't tap where there is a application on the phone or else, most likely, you will open it and be using it when your screen unlocks.Lookout is useless on this device for me. LOOKOUT during charging is supposedly one cause as to why the phone is fixin to melt.

Blah, blah, blah, blah... Mods please lock this up. Useless ranting about one faulty phone (per say) makes one person think they're Mr. Know-It-All about phones.

A savvy buyer would have read forum before purchasing. A person genuinely trying the phone would have posted with questions about the problems he was having. A one time poster just ranting is a waste of electrons.

I Think bad thread title choice in Don't buy the G3.....

This is a sure fire way to question his motives for saying so....

Does he have statistics that throw dispute that we are not having issues but we will...No

This is just perhaps a troll although I think it's genuine and he has experienced a few issues that have been discussed here and some resolved...

I found the G3 at first to take a while to charge so valid point. I didn't do anything but is now charging quickly even using the 1.8a, but I occasionally use my old Samsung 2amp charger.

I think he should have tried to discuss his issues in threads here and the helpful community may have been able to offer their experiences and offered a possible cure to his problems.

But I think that people can make their own choices and will look past threads like this one that as leorex stated get created in every phone forum.

People find forums to get help. Not to say "do not buy"

I don't have the phone and even I think it's a suspect first post. Same goes for any angry first post in any phone and car forum I'm in. It's just not believable.

There are two statements he made:

1: "Dbl tap, slide to unlock is simple even a Space Cadet Cowboy could work it." ......and.....

2: "LOOKOUT during charging is supposedly one cause as to why the phone is fixin to melt."

The first statement was a dig at anyone who likes/uses this feature and at LG for implementing such USEFUL features. And the second just maybe explained his situation...probably without even knowing it. Before making a bold statement like he did, why didn't he just turn off Lookout to see if that would help and/or do a factory reset. And like most here have said, return the dang thing. It's that simple. The OP's post was childish at best.

I just lost a few I.Q. points from reading the OP's post. Now I have to do 10 hours of Lumosity to get it back. Thanks OP!

I think the G2 was a solid, exceptional phone. The subtle differences like the glowing light around the power button and fluidity of the UI almost makes it better than the G3....almost....not quite....but almost....

Having never owned the G2 and going purely by reviews and comments made about it..

In terms of upgrades from the G2 to the G3 Lg did well to change certain aspects Design & build, Camera, Ui, Removable Battery & expandable storage & the disputed QHD Display.

Htc also done well with the M7-M8 although camera was still an issue.

S4-S5 Samsung didn't do enough although in many ways its a great device just design & Ui well they kind of wimped out.

So many great devices this year and still a few to come...

Sorry went a bit off topic there.....:-P
