LG G3 Lag. The truth?

Again, this guy posts about this app. NOBODY install this app. It'll put ads on your phone and you'll never be able to get rid of it. It's total junk.
I got rid of my Sprint S4 couldn't stand it, I never even considered an Lg. I saw it and played around for honestly one min. And I got the G3. Holy crap this phone is insane. It's fast and for me ZERO lag. You will love this phone.
You need to either go test a couple G3s or buy one and test it. Everyone sees lag differently. What you might call lag someone else will consider smooth. Some users will have lag and not want to admit it for myriad reasons. Some have lag and don't care so it's a non starter for them, thus they'll downplay the lag. Some don't have lag and swear they do. That's the OCD crowd.

I think I'm just going to go ahead and order one. I'll have the 14 days to change my mind if I decide I really don't like it.
I had another look at an M8 the other night, and while it's nice, I really don't like the feel of the phone in the hand. Its too tall and narrow for my liking. I like the build quality but its sort of irrelevant seeing as all my phones end up in some sort of case.

My AT&T G3 is fine by and large. I did notice some VERY significant lag this AM on the Music Player. It was taking 15-30 seconds to generate the thumbnail album art in the album list. I couldn't even hit "W" to get to where I needed to go due to the fact that it was still trying to display the thumbnails for A&B for 30 seconds! THAT was surprising- and disappointing, as I listen to music a lot. I'm hoping this is not going to be an ongoing issue. Other than that, I've noticed nothing significant.
Yeah- I sent mine back. Plus that bad camera...But at least you can buy unlocked from HTC without all the carrier garbage. With the G3, you have to bend over and get a carrier-branded phone. Which is a real bummer when you're paying full price.

Don't be fooled, there is TouchWiz lag. I stayed away from Samsung and LG phones because of TouchWiz lag but I bought the G3 because it was too good to pass up. I can tell you that if you are coming from a non-TouchWiz phone you will detect lag. However if you install and run Nova Launcher and set Window Animation Scale, Transition Animation Scale, and Animator Duration Scale to off you will eliminate the lag. You could also root an install a custom ROM if that tickles your fancy.

With both my Note 3 and S5 I notice nothing but great performance. I've read about TouchWiz' unmistakable lag and I won't bother to dispute it, no benefit in doing so. I'll simply write that out of all of the many android phones I've had, these two perform as well, if not better, than any I've used. That written, I couldn't call myself an enthusiast if I didn't have an interest in the G3. Now THAT is a phone of phones indeed. Lag? If it lags as much as I notice on my Samsungs then the lag wouldn't even be notable to me. I simply want one.

If you have no problem with TouchWiz on your Note 3 and S5 then go for it.
I don't understand why people say they see no lag or frame rate drops. It takes a couple seconds to load messages. Scrolling through sites, messages, call history, etc shows stutter. Its definitely more noticeable than it is on the Nexus 5 and S5.
I love the phone and its not a deal breaker for me.

Like I wrote, ...have the Note 3 and S5...and this GPad too. They must all have this lag stuff but I don't notice any slow downs in my useage. Could be that I no longer expect everything to respond yesterday or that my own "lag" balances it all out. I loved my G2 too and noticed no lag on it either. I do always replace the stock launchers with Nova and disable bloat so perhaps that helps too.

The worst stutter and frame rate drops are in games,its beginning to really annoy me. Considering now whether to return it or not.
What games have you noticed it in. Games like Frontier Saga has to have the animations turned off or the game crashes.
The stutter and lag are getting to me too, but I'm not there yet. I am gonna give it a little more time. I hate reviewers because they made this phone seem flawless and its far from.

Asphalt,Need For Speed, Infinite Flight. I watched a comparison Erica Griffin did on YouTube of an S805 QHD S5 Prime V the G3 S801 QHD playing a game and the G3s frame rate was poor compared to the 805 QHD. I'm coming to the conclusion the GPU doesn't have enough to power the QHD display :-(
