How can I change the color of the notification light based on email, text, missed call etc? Would I have to install a app or can the g3 do this natively

You would have to install LightFlow.

The link above is the free version but there is also a paid version...

It is very easy to use and setup. My favorite part is that you can preview how it looks before you even set it. Everything is independent. You can use the Camera Flash LED for only texts or missed calls and keep it off for everything else.

I'm going to need to try it for my G3 but it worked alright on my S4 though the S4 could only do certain colors which was a bummer. I'm hoping it isn't the same way with my G3.

Thank you! May be a dumb question but does it use any excessive battery by using the app? I try to keep things off that I don't use or that put a added drain on my battery.

Re: Manage notification light color

I was just about to post the same question. I saw how to change notifications for certain contacts but wanted to change the color for other apps.

I just got the paid version and set it up. Very easy to use and does exactly as advertised.

Thanks...I just got the free one for now. It doesn't seem to have control over as many apps as the paid one. If it works well I will upgrade.

Re: Manage notification light color

When I first got the phone I did find that I can change the notification colors in general (not just for each contact), but now I can't find where I did that. And I'm pretty sure my phone Flashes blue which is what I set it at. But where the heck did I find that?

Adam, I am in the same boat. For the life of me I can't find it again.
