LG G3 tether issues after Android 5 update

I have just received the Android Lollipop 5.0.1 upgrade on my LG G3. Since then I seem to have tethering issues. I can enable the mobile hot spot, I can connect devices (computer sees phone – phone sees computer), phone has 4g lte connections and can surf the web but tethered devices cannot access the web (limited/no internet connection).

Have spent time with carrier (Ting – a Tmobile wholesaler) and have not been able to solve the problem.

Anyone else having this issue?

Any ideas on how to solve it?

My USB tethering switches off after 1 minute or so. Mobile Hotspot via wifi shows connected on both devices, but not internet connectivity on connected device.

I have a similar issue with my Sony Z5 (Android 5.1.1). I'm able to connect to devices and have access to the Internet for about 10 seconds and after that I have limited or no connectivity. When I remove the SSID and reconnect again, the issue repeats itself.

Hi, if your USB tethering drops about every 30 minutes and the "Data usage" in Settings always crashes, reset your Android will help.

I have the same issue on Xperia C3 running Android 5.1.1. I try to remove or disable every available apps and updates. Still doesn't work.

Eventually, I reset to factory defaults and everything is okay now. It's the 2nd time happen to me within 6 months. I will install minimize apps and keep track this issue on my post "Android USB Tethering Drops and Data Usage Crashes, try Reset"

Just my two cents.
