LG g3 to nexus 6

As much as I like the Nexus 6, I can't see myself dropping the G3 as my daily driver.

If anything were to change, I would be adding an N6 while keeping the G3. But I don't have the money to waste, haha.

I might, but that is a strong might. The G3 was my number 2 behind the N6; Verizon's failure to deliver made my decision for me. At this point, being so late in the game, I just don't know.

The G3 has served me well, with the short SOT being it's only downside, especially since the high res screen is largely lost on me. Moving to the N6 will be a lateral move, taking the screen res into consideration, so I will really need to weigh what it is I'm changing for, outside of getting the phone I originally intended to in the first place.

It's absolutely way too late in the game to move to the N6 now..

This is the way I feel, except I wouldn't have any intention of moving. I love the G3 only draw the N6 has is that it is a Nexus....but that is it. I like the features and feel of the G3 better than stock(totally my opinion here) . But its lateral more that a move up.

I switched from a G3 to a Nexus 6 (I'm on T-Mobile).... not because I didn't like the G3... I just really wanted a Nexus again (I had a 5, but it had some weaknesses that wore me down) and I still had a T-Mobile JUMP upgrade sitting there, calling my name.

Now, I actually switched my wife to a G3 a little while back and I have to say, when I fuss with it, I kind of miss it. It's a great phone. If you told me to choose between the two again, I would still pick the 6... but if I had to go back to the G3 for some reason, I certainly wouldn't be hearbroken.

Now, the 6 does have its advantages. I don't have to wait for updates (my wife's G3 is still at 4.4.2), the speakers are better and the battery performance is a bit better... but the G3 ain't no slouch. Dat camera! I'd say unless you have a compelling reason to switch... you are not being deprived by keeping the G3.

One other factor... the G4 is kind of looming out there... LG appears to be really hitting its stride and I have a feeling that the G4 is going to be an incredible phone. You might want to wait and see what that might be if you really want to switch at this point. And there is also the rumor that LG is going to release a truly premium device that slots right in there with the Nexus 6 and Note 4... a large screen, loaded with goodies...(G4 might be smaller than the G3 as a result) I'm interested in that beast since I am not sure I'd want to move back to a 'tiny' screen heh.. My JUMP resets in August. ;)

I have both the G3 and the N6. The N6 is not a lateral upgrade. The screen is much nicer, it's faster, and the speakers are much better. You also get timely updates and better long term support.

The G3 is a great phone and much easier to carry around. I also miss tapping the screen to wake and put it to sleep.

Can't go wrong either way.

The 6 looks like a great device, but I can't handle the larger phone. The G3 is as big as I would ever want to go. Also, I like the LG UI flavor over the stock Android.

Just switched from G2 to G3 (both on Verizon), and so far I'm really liking it. Screen is definitely as large as I can handle. As far as screen on time, it seems better than my G2.
