Yup. G3 is now available for preorder on verizon's site. No mention of Qi being included. 3gb/32gb confirmed.

It definitely is. But seeing as how HTC managed to keep the logos off the front of the M7 and M8, I still have a tiny bit of hope other manufacturers can do the same. Ultimately though, as long as Verizon's models aren't gimped in any way compared to the global or other USDM models, I'll not utter one word of complaint regarding the logos since the rest of the phone is (by anyone's standards) pretty damn good looking.

Just attempted to do my preorder and the price is changing from the advertised $99 to $199 once it's in my cart.

Upon further review, the price lowers back to $99 once you reach the final checkout page.

I called customer service and asked if they had confirmation of July 10th as a pre-order date, and they confirmed the date as well as confirmed July 17th to be available for in-store purchase. However, the phone hasn't made an appearance on Verizon's website. I specifically asked when Verizon would post it for sale and they told me 12:01am EST.

EDIT: I located the G3 through a website link online.

I pre-ordered this morning. Had a strange problem where it would only show me the watch bundle at first. So I backed out and tried again and the phone showed up. Gazelle offer on Note 2 locked in and its up on ebay too, love it when it when at upgrade costs me zero. =)

I have 4 smartphones on my account. I am the only one still on unlimited data and I'm eligible for an upgrade. Can I transfer the upgrade to my wife and when the phone comes just activate under my number? How does that work?

Sorry, don't want to hijack the thread but I really want the G3.

Yes. Go online, click on upgrade. You'll see a link to transfer upgrade. Click on it and it'll give you an option to transfer that to any of your lines. I've done it twice now including this morning. G3's on the way for $139.64. ($99, plus tax, plus $30 upgrade fee.) According to the website, it should arrive at my house on the 17th. I'm already making plans to take the day off!

If you have a second line, you can transfer your upgrade to the second line. Go to VZW, Sign in, Click on Upgrade Line, click on transfer upgrade, Select the phone that doesn't have unlimited data and transfer your upgrade to that phone, then upgrade it.

From what I read it still works. After the upgrade is moved to the other line go and order the new phone online. It should not ask you to change anything on the line the upgrade was moved from. I was just going to pop my wifes sim in the g3 after it arrives to activate it then move her sim back to her htc one and put my sim in it.

But I can not guarantee this will work. I have read on the forums here that it works but do it at your I own risk. If at some point it asks to change your lines data plan I would cancel the transaction.

you don't even have to activate it with your wife's sim. I transferred the upgrade to a dumb line, when I received the phone I just pop in my sim and that's it. Nothing happen to the dumb line's plan at all. Easy peasy

I spoke to a Verizon rep, and they also said the battery was non-removable. I think this is very disappointing. I do not understand why they went with this route, seeing as how every other carrier has a removable battery.

I am sure the rep made a mistake. The specs show that there is Micro SD, but that wouldn't be accessible if the back was sealed.

Well I have seen some other people posting about Verizon reps saying the same thing. I don't know, and I guess we won't know until we get our hands on the phones. I am going into Verizon to preorder today, I hope they have a floor model I can check out.
