LG G3: Verizon

Anyone upgrade to the g3 fron a note2? If so how would you compare it to the note 2. I am trying to decide if I want to get a g3 or if I should wait and see if verizon gets the z3.

dang, someone put the G3 up for $535 (sold for $550), wasn't quick enough to jump on it

I still have insecurities about paypall and linking my bank account

How come? I've got my PayPal on lock down (always require text code) and I've never had an issue. I mainly just use my credit card through PayPal though to pay for things.. Instead of the direct bank account withdrawal.

Picked mine up earlier today, full retail. Transaction didn't go as smooth as originally planned as the assistant manager at the VZW corporate store I chose tried to tell me he wasn't allowed to sell the phone full retail on launch day. He initially claimed they all had to be held for people upgrading their accounts. In my mind I knew what he was saying was nonsense so I was patient with him while he "tried to see what he could do." The store wasn't even crowded and I was the only one there looking to purchase the G3 but I still opted to be patient with the whole process.

Fortunately, after a little waiting (whether he was hoping I would just get fed up and leave or not), he returned from the back with the phone and accessories. Got me all set up and I still have my unlimited data intact. He was actually very helpful and informative once he was "approved" to sell me the phone. Whether or not the part about not being allowed to sell it full retail on launch day is true, I don't know, but at the end of the day I got the phone I was looking for and still kept unlimited data.

Picked up mine today. Have the diztronic case from Amazon (fits perfect) put the Verizon tempered glass screen protector. On 18 with discount. Seems to be a beast of a phone so far. Any questions?

For all those worried about the back on the Verizon phone not having the brushed metal look, I got mine today, and it actually has the brushed metal look, and it looks great! I don't know why the Verizon renders looked like the brushed metal effect wasn't there, but it is after all.

I got my g3 last night and honestly I'm going to sell it and stick w my note 2. I'm sure its an amazing phone but my note is set up exaxtly how I want it

Since both the note 2 and g3 have a 5.5 inch screen, does one look bigger than the other?

As of now I still can't justify using my upgrade on the G3. The changes Verizon made going with the all black front and putting their logo on top to me take away a lot from the overall look of the phone. It makes it look almost cheap. Someone please change my mind. And yes I have seen it in person multiple times

Comparing to the crappy Best Buy dummy phone of the Metallic Black and the Verizon Black on the real phone, they are definitely different. The Verizon one is just less-noticeably brushed. Can anyone agree?

The Note 2 looks like a bigger phone (it actually is), and the G3 screen looks larger (but actually isn't). It's an optical illusion.

You won't notice it in a few days.

No idea why so many people are making big deals of logos. It's only a logo.

Thanks. I was actually talking about the Note 2 and the G3 since they are both 5.5 in. I wonder if one looks larger than the other...

Well, personally I prefer a phone without carrier branding because I purchase my phones outright without a contract so I can switch carriers anytime I want. But I do get why ppl don't like it. Its actually 2 logos (front and back) whereas most carriers just have one. Imo it's too "in your face" like when their logos were on the home buttons of Samsung phones. Lol.
