Just went to the store to find out it's an online-only deal so I ordered it online right then and there in front of the sale's rep and laughed my way out of the store. Verizon should really carry out their deals in stores and on the website, it gets really annoying when they don't specify, but... it's ordered with overnight shipping, should have it by Monday at the latest.

Then you have a good Verizon store where there are alternative stores. Where I live there is only one within a 75 mile radius, so they can try to rip people off. I would have tried to argue with them, but it was too busy in the store so I was like *censored for the innocent* this.

Haha, you're probably right, but you never know. Trying not to push any buttons and cause flaming on this forum, seeing as it seems like a generally friendly community. It sucks my phone won't be here tomorrow because it's Sunday tomorrow. :/

Also had no problem getting this deal in the store....I wonder if your Verizon store is one of those authorized retailers...maybe they can't honor the deal?

Well I jumped on tbe 50% deal and bought the black g3 by transfering my upgrade to my wifes line to keep my unlimited data.

Rep told me by phone Friday 7/25 that the $99 two year contract g3 pricing was available by phone order as well as online or within vzw retail store. They couldn't tell me the end date for the $99 promotion however.

When I came back to Verizon a couple months ago I opted for the Edge program so I can swap out every 12 months (or sooner) without issue. I always liked the old 1 year contracts they got rid of.

Well my account still says my line is eligible for upgrade and my order for the g3 still says processing. And the charge on my card is onky pending. I am wondering if it is because I ordered it after the 4pm cutoff on friday for next day shipping since it wont ship out until tonight now. So they wont actually charge it until it ships and once it does my upgrade will disappear?

They authorize the card when you submit the order with the amount (so your balance is registered as used currency, but the balance is legally still there) so you should still get the 50% off. I believe it's once you submit an order for the phone your upgrade disappears. They won't formally take the money out of your account until it is shipped, correct.

For example (if you used a debit card):
Balance: $500.62
Available Balance: $400.62

Your balance won't decrease until the amount has been charged and shipped.

Ya. I think the charge just went through as I got my shipping notice and my contract just for extended.

So I should be set now and avoid their new 4g lte throttling policy that starts in october as I will be on contract and if they do throttle they have to let me out of my contract as they will have broken it.
