LG G4: Are you getting one?

lag free UI is key feature. This is what annoys me on all Samsung devices. Dropped frames and lags ruin the experience. They remind you that the device was cookie cut together, rather than a smooth integrated one-machine

My S6 has lags, stutters and hangs. It's not all the time and only happens occasionally, but I wouldn't call it a stutter free device. If the G4 is faster then that's awesome. I feel my old One M8 performed faster than my current S6.

I am psyched up for it. I'm already reviewing my options, checking my upgrade eligibility, etc.

I want that Leather Back though, I'm guessing it will be available at launch in US & Canada?

Yeah I'm pumped too. Haven't been this excited for a phone in a while.

I want the leather too but not sure if I should get the black or the beige they promote the phone with.

From what I heard, AT&T have exclusive eights to the beige leather back?

Beige? I'm good, I don't really have a favorite color I just want them available.

I've been watching some reviews and it's not the Specs, Camera, Display, Performance, etc. that I'm excited about but the leather back. LOL

It's called touchwixitis common with Samsung phones

But why do these manufacturers insist on only putting 16 and 32 gigs of memory on their phones Most don't even have a larger memory upgrade which if they have they charge 50 or a 100 more for a 10 dollar cost. Doesn't make sense to me unless carriers and cloud companies are pushing it. Now days even 32 gig phones get crowded quick.

I can't stand this. This is why an iPhone feels smooth and HTC are the only android manufacturer that seemed to have paid attention to optimisation over the last few years. In fact in an AC podcast the guys mentioned HTC had some kind of dealings with Apple and suspect optimisation was one of the things they worked on (following the 10 year patent agreement the two companies signed). It may or may not be true but Sense is really good at managing memory and zipping along, unlike Samsung.

Yeah that's how I feel. Sense to me is the smoothest and fastest UI on an android phone.

I dont know if LG's UI will be as fast as that, but if it's close, I'll be happy. A
Just as long as it's faster than Touchwiz on the S6.

Hows the text app with sense after you have it loaded with many contacts and text messages?? ALL of my android devices have suffered from stutter and delay. Hate that actually.

I have found sense to always be smooth. HTC optimizes for smooth. I have not found sense to be really fast. I think that the optimization of launcher and hardware is important look what it did to the first moto X lesser chipset but much smoother launcher. Hopefully LG has done that here.

Just use the messenger app. Better design, quick reply from notifications and great material design.

I've always used the native text message app on all my devices. Once they start getting full, I get app slow down and stutter/delay (only within native message app). I've always wondered if this is an android problem or are we suppose to clean out our texts after some time?

For some perhaps I have 32GB and at this moment I have 22GB free.

i like the look of it but it all comes down to:

price point on contract through tmobile. i hate financing devices.
development. it MUST have aosp based roms.
battery life.

ill be looking to upgrade my nexus 5 come july or august and the g4 is on my radar. that's unless something cheaper and better comes along. at this point im more inclined to wait until the fall and see what the next nexus offers.
