LG G4 Battery Life Thread

I have to charge at least twice a day
The screen on time is just over 3 hours
Any tips on how to make the battery life longer?

Me too. I just disabled a bunch of bloat and anything else I won't be using. Hopefully that will help. But I'm not impressed.

I'd take them back, that's worse than the samsung and that phone is pretty bad.

Most of the people here that have their phones have pretty good battery life. Many are getting more than they expected so it may be better to simply say your life is not as good as you expected.

Have you looked at the battery consumption and checked to see if there is something unusual such as one program pulling way more power than it should? Have you rebooted the phone to see if that has a positive effect?

I guess there is always a chance of obtaining a bad battery and if you cannot identify anything that is pulling more juice than it should, I would consider exchanging the phone for a new one because you seem to be an exception at the moment.

Mine is INCREDIBLE. tons of apps installed as well now, all set up and ready.

The standby time is iPhone good. I might get 2 days out of this !

It would be helpful to know what carriers you're using the phone on. That could make a difference also.

Im on Verizon. I mean I do use the phone A LOT! I'm sure if I just let it sit it'll last all day. But who can resist this pretty phone?

I'm on Verizon

Have outlook app, my work exchange on push. Gmail.

One drive picture backups. Using Bluetooth to my microsoft band

All google stuff turned on. And other social apps like hangouts and Skype.

Would you be able to post a screenshot of your stats? This will help us with troubleshooting.

I average 3hr 15mins of SOT when i straight gaming. I'll test out a full day with just a small amount of that.

Did you have the game optimizer in the battery settings turned on? Does it make any difference?

Also, what level is the brightness at?

Game optimizer is on but i cant tell a difference. Bightness between 45% and 60%

I have been getting about 4.5 hours screen on time.... with about 3 hours a day with the screen off streaming spotify... I'm pretty happy with my battery life so far!

I think i averaged 30mins more on my G3, but my optimus G only got 2 hours of straight gaming so its a huge improvement.

Turn off battery charge sound?

Is there any way to turn off the chime that sounds when the battery is fully charged? I've been able to tweak all the other sound settings to my liking, but I can't seem to find this one.

That's because all these reviewers have been reviewing the over seas variant for the most part in which the LTE doesn't even work in North America. So they're getting better battery life, because as everyone knows, LTE is much more of a battery hog!

The battery full sounds is something put in by the manufacture. You would have to be rooted in order to disable it.

That's so annoying. About an hour after I go to bed it vibrates and wakes me up.

T-Mobile My Account App - Battery Drain!

Have had the phone since day one, and all of a sudden, my GPS won't turn off. Just startes earlier this morning. Appears the Tmo My Account App is forcing the GPS to stay on and killing the battery. Didn't do anything wrong or different types with my phone. Can't disable or Uninstall the app either. Anyone else having this issue?
