LG G4 Leather back degrading, where should I go for a replacement?

LG G4 Leather back degrading

LG G 4 for about a month now. It's the t-mobile version with the brown leather back and the leather especially around the corners is already starting to wear off down to the plastic. Contacted LG and they said I needed to go to T Mobile and ask for a replacement, which I find weird since they are the manufacturer of the leather back piece. Anyone else having the same issues?

From what I've read, the brown leather back deteriorates much too quickly, whereas the black leather is extremely durable. I have the black, and have had for weeks, and haven't seen the slightest hint of wear. And that's running the phone full naked. It seems that the smoother finish on the brown back just can't hold up like the textured surface of the black. It's really a shame that LG let this one out the door in its current condition. If I had a brown one, I'd be very disappointed. Best of luck on getting a replacement!
